Hello,

First time grower here. Went with lowryder feminised seeds.

Only one of two seeds germinised. After a few newbie mistakes I got the plant finally doing well and it's starting flowering nicely.

Alas I noticed it has, apart from mostly femine hairs, a few male sacs. I assume my inexperience is to blame for this. Or could it be it would have been a hermy always?

Anyway, I just wanted to ask what I should do and what I should expect. I've read you can cut off his balls and hope it don't come back. Can you keep cutting them off each time they appear? I only have 1 plant ATM, so no reason why I should kill it. What if I let it keep flowering, how potent will it be if I keep cutting the balls?

Thanks in advance.

You can keep pinching off the male flowers. That means checking it every single day. Even then you may miss one and get seeds in there. Potency will come from how well it is grown and what it's genetics are capable of. In the grand scheme of things it would probably be better to learn to grow with a healthy plant. Lots of us started off rough due to the learning curve of gardening and nursed poor stock through. If it's not a hardship chop and start again. Best of luck :)

are you watering with well water or town water? you must know your water PH its the # 1 reason for stress induced hermi....

If you're going to keep it alive I'd go with the pinching routine as well.

It's far too early to tell how it'll affect yield & strength, depends on how bad a hermie it is (as some can have only a few flowers), environment now, feed etc etc.

I am watering with town water run through an deminiraliser. What would the best pH be for the water?

Its just the one male and maybe 2 more elsewhere in the future.

I wish I had one. I would let it go and get lots of free seeds.

A range of 5.5 to 6.9 would be fine...and IMO not need to be altered

And that would be bad advice... hermi x anything= hermi, males and females...

Never breed a hermi.

Ok guys, thanks for the input.
Ill keep an eye on the water pH, assuming my meter works properly.
And I will cut the balls daily and hope for the best with the female parts.
