New Grower Feed help PLZ

Ok just got a meter today and checking run off.
I'm using sunshine adv mix #4 5 gal pots with 600 watt MH
I'm around 30 days from breaking ground.
Last few times Iv just watered every other day, today I feed one ph 6.3 500ppm
run off was 1600ppm????
Test my water from tap its 240ppm
Shouldnt my run off be = or - ppm that I put in???
And is tap water to high ppm????
Im feeding with gh flora grow micro bloom and cal/mg+

it should be but checking runoff in soil is a lottery

I say do a slurry test. Much more accurate.

I'd be more concerned with the pH of the run off than the ppm. Don't think I've every checked ppm of run off.
