New Grower Fast Buds Girl Scout Cookies - first ever grow !

Greetings from Australia !!

I am a new grower, I am growing in a 1m x 1m x 2m Tent, I have a Viparspectra 300w LED, a 450w Miezhi LED and a 130w CFL in there currently. I am on a really tight budget as I cannot work. I had a really bad accident and have Chronic Regional Pain and nerve damage in my leg and PTSD. I am trying to get off Opiates and assorted other pills and having used Cannabis on and off, I know it can take the place of these horrible pills. I got the Fast Buds beans from a friend, he didn't realise they were Autos and he only grows Photo plants, knowing I was tight for cash, he passed them for half what he paid - thats a good mate ! I didn't know the difference between Autos and Photo plants, but some Google searching has me thinking they are perfect for what I need. I found Mephisto Genetics during one of my searches and ordered some of their Illuminautos - I loved their frosty buds amd fast grow time, along with some great names ! I ordered some Blue Toof and Sour Crinkle, they kindly sent me some Auto Cush beans as my freebies. I have one of each in Jiffy Pellets and they have all popped and have lovely big tap roots. My GSC plants are about 5 weeks in, they popped at different times, a cold snap held two back (a frost killed my first two plants, -6°c, even in the garage and in a Tent the cold managed to leave them dead) so there is about 10 days between first and the last plant. I will keep the progress posted in here and any help is greatly appreciated.

Congratulations on starting your first grow it sounds like you have a decent setup. Do you have an extraction fan and a charcoal filter? Those are something that you're going to want before too long if you want to stay below the radar. You have tough growing conditions, it's very difficult to grow good quality plants if you have large temperature swings.

Anyway your plant's are looking real healthy so far. I know we have a few Aussies on the form so have a look around I'm sure you'll run into some.

welcome @SuperfastP , your plants looking good.. Jingo is correct if ya don't want entire neighborhood smelling that grow your gonna need carbon scrubber for sure, I recently grew out gsc and I can tell ya she one stinky biach! keep that in mind look over my gsc grow in my sig to get an idea how bad...

hi superfast welcome to afn im growing 2 gsc and 2 fast and vast and the gsc stink a lot worse than my others id say around week 4 id be screwed without my filter smell wise plus im in the uk so your going to get a visit if its found growing you have a good startup kit and with them your set and hopefully get you off the heavy painkillers ive been down that road

Just got a text alert to tell me my fans and filter will be here tomorrow. Looking forward to finishing off my little endevour and concentrating on just growing. My Sour Crinkle has broken the surface and is pushing off her shell. The Blue Toof has a good tap root going now, she should be up next. Auto Cush is still going slow, but I trust she will be pop now its nice and warm at last ! I gave the GSC a big drink, they were very dry. They had very little run off, so I will give them another drink later on.

Welcome @SuperfastP to AFN and good vibes on your grow. I myself did the same thing your doing making the switch from prescription pain meds and it was the best thing that I could've ever done.

I'm in process of trying drop down, I doubt I can ever go completely off them,coz of amount of issues I have..am not sure I'd be able to function anymore. It's just doctors were handing them out like candy for too long, I take rather high doses compared to most people.. even now that my dose been cut in half.. next visit am going down another 20mg per dose. I hope 3-4months I can finally get down to a reasonable amount... They not really affect me, since I been on them for 20+ years....that's kinda another reason I want drop, plus I hate I really hate how they treat yeah, when they the ones given ya the drug in first place, I never once failed urine or anything, yet I'm sure ya all know what I mean by way they look down on ya.. I hate that so much Like drug seeker or something, which couldn't be the furthest thing from the truth.

I had a doctor that made a smug statement about drug seeking Behavior, one time. I asked him how long would you practice medicine if you lost your DEA license? He thought about it for a minute and when he didn't answer I said all your patients are drug Seekers. That's really the only thing that keeps you in business.

I really do not like paranoid doctors at all, unfortunately I have shown a few the bad side of my PTSD........
