Just wound up the harvest of fast and vast and auto candy Kush. Real mixed bag with these. Lessons learned?
1. Never grow fast and vast with candy Kush. The candy Kysh can't compete for the light.
2. The bud structure of candy Kush is awesome.
3. Fast and vast lives up to it's name, finishing in just 75 days from the day I dropped the seed in water and grew like nobody's business.
The candy Kush came out OK but the F&V just eclipsed it. It would have been a lot better if the F&V hadn't stolen all the light. I'm guessing I'll end up with about an ounce per plant from the CK. THE F&V, on the other hand, went nuts at about six weeks and then it was a constant battle to manage the light. Note to self: Prune F&V very aggressively.
Here are some pictures. Two F&V and two. CK hanging. Almost all of it is F&V.
Here are the stumps. Notice the massive stems of the 2 fast and vast vs the candy Kush.
Here's a closeup of the F&V stump.
Some details:
MEDIA: General hydroponics aeroflo-18 aero point unit.
Nutrients: Lucas formula (I prefer "Lucas strategy") with FloraNova and hydroguard.
Lighting. (1) each California light works SOLARSTORM 440
I employed LST to fill out the canopy with 5 plants. The Candy Kush trained beautifully In retrospect, it's a great plant to grow for low headroom and low maintenance because it grows great without pruning or even training. Massive colas!
The F&V.... Crazy growth and great smell with good pruning, these should yield ridiculously nice buds!
