Fan question: Variable speed or on/off?

Can anyone with a Mar Hydro 4” Fan with the thermostat controller answer this?

Does setting a specific temp cause the fan speed to automatically increase/decrease?
Or just turns it on/off at that temp?

I need a fan that runs all the time on low and then steps up if needed. Saw a comment on a review online and not sure if this fan does that?

Ok .. next question … I have a “cheap” ipower carbon filter.
is there a difference in quality? Should I spring for a MH one as well as a fan, or will this current filter do just as good?

I hope my answer is not too late. Our fans are speed controllable. Carbon filters can be used as long as they are the right size.

After review I think my grow space will be better served by a 6” fan instead so I can run it a bit slower/quieter.

The 6” filter in your the fan-and-filter combo on your website looks to be bit a different size/shape than others (shorter and fatter) , but maybe it’s just the photo angle. I want to make sure it’ll fit in the spot I have ready for the fan/filter.

Can you tell me the length/width of the filter?

Also, can you put your manuals on your website for download? Many other companies do this now days and it makes it much easier when trying to find product information like this.
