Time for an upgrade on my end. I am moving my two closet grows into 2 of these tents led wholesellers gyo1008 76x48x48. What is the most quiet and least expensive exhaust fan that I could use and should I use a 4" or 6"? They will both be run with led's so heat isnt an issue but I am concerned with odor and noise from the fan itself. Thanks ahead of time for the help guys!

In tents that size the 4 inch fan will work, you may even look into a speed controler to turn them down as you won't need full power,I run a 4 inch in my tent on half speed,my tents around the same size as yours.it will also reduce the noise mate. Have you got a carbon filter too?

6 inch for sure on you fan for that many cubic feet. one word of caution when using tents and supposedly "cool" running LED's...they actually will raise the inside temp by as much as 14 degrees or more above ambient room temperatures, in my experience anyway. reason being that they reflect any heat inward. myself running only 1 290w LED in a tent. quiet fans can cost ya. alot of it is how the fan is mounted. most people will suggest that your fan be suspended by bungee cord, so as not to transfer motor vibrations to structures. i've heard active brand fans are good n cheap. also phat filters are nice too, for pre-made canister type carbon filters. although there are a lot of people that make their own filters from buckets and carbon. happy harvesting.

Totally plan on using carbon filters but wanted some recommendations on a fan first. The filters are fairly inexpensive. There is just so many fans out there I didn't know what's the best for being quiet and cost effective. Thanks for responding Redeye!

Wildrunner even with the 14 degree increase I will be fine. My room temp usually runs constant at 70 degrees so that would put me dead center in temp zone I want to hopefully decrease Cal/mag issues I am running into with the low temps.

Looking at your measurements again I'd run with the 6,your size is bigger than mine and the may just not cut it,but there are fans you can buy with speed control already on,it gives you the opportunity to turn it up and down depending on your temps.in summer you may find you need to run it faster than in winter to maintain temps mate

Thanks guys. Is there any specific brands you guys would recommend using?

I'm not to familiar with brands mate, just got mine from hydro shop.bought with the carbon filter I got a better deal
