I was reading through some of the old posts and stickies while my wife is receiving her chemotherapy. I see numerous posts about uses for this plant we all love and need. Soooo I decided to list where I use all the different parts.
During plant growth: I seem to always have leaves which need to be removed for one reason or another. These are always kept(as long as the leaf is in good shape) and placed into a Ziploc in the fridge to be juiced. Yes they can be bitter but if you use the following recipe youll never notice. 1/2 a head Romaine lettuce, 3 stalks celery, 3 pieces kale, 12+ marijuana leaves, 10 med carrots and 2 or 3 small apples. I typically get about 35oz of juice from this and do it 4 times a week.
After harvest, drying etc: Plant type determines next steps.
High THC low CBD strains will be cured for vaporizing. Buds are retained for vaporizing while stems and leaves are kept for use in RSO.
High THC med CBD strains will be used for both vape and oil supply.
1:1 THC/CBD strains will go solely to oil production.
After vaporizing, all ABV is retained and infused into coconut oil for topical application to burns, cuts and any other skin imperfections that warrant treatment. I also use this ABV oil on my dogs food.
The only part of the plant which I don't use directly is the root ball. After harvest I set out the pots to let the soil dry out. I do recycle my soil and the composting root ball just adds back some of the nutrients it took in the first place.
I hope this helps someone.
