hi guys:thumbs: i grow in allmix soil and feed with biobizz nutes, my white dwarf is at day 51 from seed. the leaves at the bottom are yellowing slightly. iv upped the 'grow' slighty witch seems to of stopped it(i think)? just wondering do i need to use epsom salts regardless? in a nut shell... would it harm the plant or do i even need to use them??
any advice welcome cheers:peace:

I add some to my soil mix and once I start feeding flowering nutes, will usually use 1 tablespoon per gallon, every other feeding. I made the mistake once of using it every feeding and ended up with a salt buildup in my soil. I also keep a spray bottle with 1 teaspoon per quart added. I mist the plants with it if I see any signs of a cal/mag deficiency.

Unless it's looking sickly all over I think it's just age with yellowing only... Personally I just finished a white dwarf not too long ago and it took about 20- 25 days for all the main fan leaves to naturally yellow and come off (bottom to top while using nutes) and then it it was ready to flush with maybe 7-10 big fans still hanging on at the top when I chopped it. So you may very well just be reaching the later part of the plants life and it's starting to draw the last bit of nutes it needs for the buds from the fan leaves... Just my:2cents:

cheers guys i think shes got a good 2weeks left did u use epsom salts with your surffreak?

No I use CalMag from Botanicare every feeding after about 5 weeks in at about 2/3 strength, just as maintenance/prevention of the rust spots caused by the deficiency...

aaahhh right mint iv literally just spotted a tiny (under half a mm)rust spot do you think i should give her some salts as shes had nothing from seed? otherwise she looks quite healthy i think? PICT0126 (600x450).jpg

Yeah give some sort of cal/mag solution I don't know much about using the salt but if it gets the plant the cal and mag it should recover in a week or so... The spots you see now will never go away, but will not harm the leaf just by being there so don't clip off whole leaves unless heavily affected. The best way to tell is to mark the progression on a fan leaf, once it stops getting spots it's back on track, scary to see if caught late, but if you are just noticing rust spots you should be fine with a few double or triple doses of Cal/mag... Good luck and remember I don't know the dosing/effects of pure epsom salt so do your research before you use that to fix the problem... Cheers!
