This is my first ever grow I’m growing gorilla glue Autos from MSNL seeds. all was going fine till week 2 hit. Now all of the leave edges are starting to curl towards the center of the leafs. After looking closely I can see some yellow spots around some of the leaves now. I have not started feeding as I just hit week 2 today. Water ph is 6.5 and soil is fox farm happy frog. Going with the fox farm trio for nute

Here’s my setup
  • 2x2x36 tent
  • 600 watt bestva led light both grow and bloom switches are on and it’s mounted about 14 inches above canopy
  • Humidity has a high of 78% and a low of 52%
  • Temperature has a high of 82 and a low of 77
  • Light schedule was 24/0 switched yesterday to 20/4

  • All help is greatly appreciated

I started in a 2x2, you'd be surprised! I highly suggest topping and LST if you're looking for yields, as space (especially vertical space) is limited. Intentionally growing strains that stay small is super helpful as well. You can also "dwarf" plants by repotting them right as they show sex, which combined with stable warm temps will basically stop stretch and push the plant directly into flower. A tent that size provides its own challenges, but you can still get good results!

I definitely plan on the LST I should probably start soon no? I’m new/ never heard of dwarfing. They are feminized so as soon as i see sex I’ll just throw her in a 5 gallon pot from a 3 gallon? Also which node do you chop off? Probably wait for one more? I’m also thinking about just getting the larger tent and use the small one for seedling

Wait till she's got 4 full nodes and is pushing out the 5th, then take the 5th. That will give you 4 sets of branches which should do pretty well. Tbh with fabric pots repotting is a pain as the roots tend to grow into the fabric, so I would just keep her in the pot she's in, just something to think about for next time. I like to use the little 3 or 4" plastic seedling pots to start them in and then move them around day 14 (if I'm not trying to dwarf) or when they show sex (if I am), as they will have a solid root mass by then and it will be easier to move them without causing too much trauma. The restricted pot size early on will help control how big they get during veg as well.

This girl i accidentally dwarfed (didn't realize it was a thing till @arty zan mentioned it as something he uses to control size). She only got to be about 6" tall but still produced a decent amount of buds, even after she got all screwed up by nitrogen toxicity early on.

Compare that to another plant that I let go natural that got 3ish feet tall.

I just chopped the first girl last night, so no dry weight yet, but the second ended up being exactly 1oz. The stems weigh a LOT depending on how big they are, so I think the girl I cut last night will probably end up being just about an oz as well. First girl was grown in a 1gal, second in a 5gal. Training doesn't seem to affect overall yield as much, but definitely plays a big part in keeping height under control and the distribution of the buds. I don't really suggest taking things to the extreme as much as I have, but if you want to see some of my experimenting and my screw ups along the way you can take a peep at my current grow journal, this girl is from the first batch of seeds in the journal so she starts on page 1.

Man that’s pretty cool how small it is. She’s packed full of buds for sure. I’ll definitely try it out my next go at it. I think a taller tent is in my very near future I have some photos I’d like to try.

Thanks again for the information

No worries! Hubby got me a 4x4x6 for Christmas and I'm absolutely loving the extra space. Plan now is to run small plants of new strains in the 2x2 and big ones of what I like in the 4x4 lol.
