HI
Today is day 83 & I've been giving them each 5 litres of water with 10ml of Flawless Finish since the 14th. That's 8 days. You can see the Lemon AK auto (On the left) is running out of nutes. I check the EC a few times when I flush them & the EC of the AK run off today after 5 liters was 0.8
I flushed the Gorilla with 10 litres of water with 20 ml of Flawless Finish & her run off is still at 1.3. In fact, the first run off was 1.0, the next was 1.4. the next was 1.3 & the last was 1.3.
Since she still looks so green & her EC is so "high", is it ok to harvest her on say Monday? Or do I need to reduce their EC more? From reading different articles, it seems it's preferable to get the EC as close to 0 before harvest.
Thanks as always!

Truly have no idea as I don't bother with EC or PPM at all, but seems it falls into the "flushing" bro science category to me....

Look good, you got a nice harvest there

It very tricky to get very precise EC reading from run off. It not the best way to find out what EC is in your medium is at. Only use it as a very rough guide If you have to.

There has been in the past the trend to reduce the EC in the medium to nothing in the last two weeks of flower. Some call it flushing and some call it leeching.
Due to plenty of experimentation from many a grower and professional gardens the concensus is that you don't need to do this any more. The evidence is now pointing to higher yeilds when you don't flush.

I've stopped flushing and have found to increase yeild. Flavour is the same and cure time is thd same.

If you want to read more about it there is thread here on AFN where the best of our back garden shed scientist have compiled all the evidence against flushing your medium at the end of the grow.
