Experience with them, no. Will they work, yes. What's your plan are you putting together a panel to run them all as one light?

I built a DIY growlight with 15 watt spotlights and it works great, draws an actual 60 watts and has given me some very fine bud. I'm also using a couple of them for side lighting on a big photoperiod, shining up from the bottom ( using 2700K and 6500k bulbs ), and I've seen popcorn buds grow to respectable size!

I plan to have GN HS1 or Gavita LEP as the top lights, the thinking was that these bulbs would be used on the sides, spaced 25-30 cm apart or as the plants shape up, whatever seems best. I like the idea of E27 sockets and used in these here clamp flexible thingies attached to rails, think it is much more flexible compared to getting say Mars Hydro panels, or any other "affordable" panel for that matter.......gives easy maneuverability!

Light coverage is a important thing when it comes to leds. and yes you are right getting 6 of those lights and spreading them out evenly thru your grow space will give you more coverage than buying a led panel. you have to remember if its the right light plants will use 100% of it they dont care what type of light is used to create it. with the panel can only point down or sideways with those you can point them all in different directions making sure that you cover all areas. Im been looking into this little lights lately and if you know what your doing on could create a lighting setup that no other type of light can give you goodspeed bro let me know if you have any more questions!

Thanks for the thumbs up Mr. Magic, I think I may have to slip Chinese Wendy an email, maybe give her a call on Skype..........purely commerce related off course......diving off a cliff.gif

I have 4 of these bulbs in 57w (on a four plant grow) to add supplemental to the lower nugs. They stay cool, and I can see the difference they make in the development of those lower nugs - but I really would consider the 57w bulbs to be the minimum required. I haven't measured their draw - but it is certainly much, much less than the advertised 57w.

I picked them up off ebay for about $US25/bulb with free shipping from China.

I hear you, I was just thinking say 6 x 36W rather than 4 x 57W would would provide more light source spots and better coverage, but I'll have a look around for higher W ones..........thanks

Here's my " LED on a Stick". I used this to ntest side lighting with the 15 watt LEDs. It loks like the popcorn buds tripled in size, they now look like decent buds, about grape size and larger.
