Hello guys and gals of AFN! Welcome to my first grow! I am a new grower looking to share my experience with all of you and I hope to learn some things along the way!

I will be growing a Dinafem White Widow autoflower.

My current set up-
48"x24"x60" tent
Nova 300 watt full spectrum led x2
5 gal dwc
Large cylinder air stone x2
Active aqua 15LPM
8" oscillating fan

Nutes-
AN sensi grow/bloom
Hydroguard
Cal-mag
(Looking to purchase more enhancing nutes likes b-52, voodoo, bigbud. Etc soon)

I started this grow by soaking 1" rockwool in 5.5 ph water overnight. Gave the rockwool a few shakes then put my seed inside. I then put the rockwool in my humidity dome and put her under the light. Within 2 days she sprouted and within a week she had taproots coming out the bottom of the rockwool! I figured it was time so today I put her in the dwc.

I started with ro water at 0ppm. an sensi grow, calmag, and hydroguard to 125ppm. Res temp 70degrees (may need a chiller with both lights on we will see)

All advice is welcome and appreciated!

Happy growing AFN,
Dwiz

Looks good so far! I'm going to be watching this one! next round for me will be an auto so, I'm gonna watch your grow super closely to see how you feed her..

By the way, I have a Dinafem Auto White Widow curing as we speak! Don't know if you already knew that, one of her buds is running for Nug of the Month this month, too! [emoji106] [emoji2]

The most beautiful dry buds I've grown were from Dinafem seeds. Of course, my Red Poison had gorgeous buds, but it was mostly the gorgeous color. My Auto Moby Dick and White Widow are the plumpest, hugest buds I've grown.

The one highlighted in green was the Moby Dick.

Advice [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG]

Use Rapid Rooters next time, rather than rockwool. I've had close to 100% germination with Rapid Rooters, and its WAY better for the environment. [emoji106] [emoji6]

I've used both of these, they're equally good, but the Rapid Rooters have flatter bottoms that stand up better.

I am not a fan of rock wool either. But that aside keep using the Hydroguard and don't worry about the bucket temps. I run bucket temps in the low 80's during the start of my grows and never have a problem with root rot while using Hydroguard. You may very well be hating yourself with only a 60" tall tent very soon. With a 5 gallon bucket you will run out of head space very quickly. A short tent/ cabinet is no place for a hydro grow, ask me how I know!

My other piece of advice for a new grower(hydro or soil) is have a good basic nute program. Having a dozen different nutes and additives only adds a layer of complication to the set up and opens the door for error and a place for failure. We have seen it a thousand times.

Thanks for tuning in everyone!
And thanks for the advice! Ill grab me some of those cubes for the next time I germ.

Those buds looks amazing @witchyhour !

@HotBunz I was a little worried about my headroom also. I can lst, but I do have everything to build a nice scrog if I need to. I can also angle both of the lights for a few more inches of headroom.
Did you start the hydroguard at the 2ml/gal or work up to it?
I'll do that and keep it simple!

No big changes on the little girl. Adjusted ph. Just waiting on her roots to make it out of the net pot and down to the water! Edit- water level is 1 1/2" below net pot. Is my water level ok, Or should I raise it up?

@HotBunz I'm seconding what Dwiz07 asked about the hydroguard? I'd like to know myself.. I just ordered some.. how much are you adding to your res to keep that nasty root rot away?
