So checking on my DWC plants. One is having some weird issues. First time posting here so bare with me.

Auto blueberry (Dutch passion) Plant is on week 3. My PH has been a perfect 5.8. Weekly water changes. PPM of my solution is 340’s. The new growth looks great but this plant has been way slower than it’s sister germinated at the same time. It start off with some twisted growth right out the bat. It’s sister has been on the exact same solution and schedule and looks amazing. Using 8 gal buckets and GH trio except only bloom and micro with some cal mag and hydro guard. Water temps are 64-65 degrees.

@ForRealC2829 :welcome:Welcome to AFN:welcome: Hydroponics is absolutely not forgiving of a wrong nutrient balance.

That is not root rot.

You need to follow a more precise schedule. Read this:

What is the source and EC, PH of your starting water?

Use this schedule at about 65% strength.

Using RO water so we’re at 0 starting out. PH is 7.8. Without using my RO buddy I’m at 158ppm out of the tap.

thanks for the help! I’ll make up some new res tonight using the above chart at 65% and go from there.

Most RO water is about 10 PPM but your meter probably will not start reading until the PPM is over 50.

With RO water it is a good idea to add 50 PPM of Cal-Mag before mixing the nutrients and let it sit overnight with aeration. The reasoning behind this is two fold one is to let the PH stabilize. RO water exposed to air will drop PH to under 5.5 in a short time. The Cal-Mag will help buffer this PH swing. Starting with a PPM your meter can read prevents adding 50 PPM too much fertilizer.

This is why I’m here. Dropping knowledge! Thanks brother. I’m filling up some 5’s right now and then I’ll toss the cal mag in there and let it hang till tomorrow and then I’ll get the new nutrients mixed up.

check out the other girl. Same seed, same time. Just exploding.

Alright, fresh res changes at 65% of the posted chart (early growth). PH to 5.8, which barely took .5ml of ph up, which is great. PPM came out to 300.

Let’s see where this takes us.

Update. Looks like whatever is going on is progressing still :nono:

thinking they’re asking for more Cal/Mg?

Hopefully the last update. No matter what I tired they girl just kept progressing down the road of what looks like a combined cal/mag & Phosphorus deficiency.

I decided to switch nutes to some Advanced Sensi Bloom that I had on hand. I only used hydro guard and the A&B bloom at about 220ppm. Even with the PH perfect tech, I checked ph anyway, and it was a perfect 5.8

Within 2 days the deficiencies stopped and now at 4 days the girls are literally praying to the sky looking pretty damn good. Exploding in growth. So Advanced nutes it is for this run.

Wanted to give @Mañ'O'Green a quick shout out. We got these girls back healthy after the assistance and into flower successfully…..after all the issues. They're about ready to chop in less than a week. They should be some big girls after weight up. Thanks again brother. Excited to take on the next one.
