Im most interested in dwarf autoflowering strains, under 18" preferably a consistent 14-16". I think that for security purposes a 15" autoflowering strain that can put out a solid ounce is most ideal.

Im starting up a breeding program and id like to work in the genetics of such a strain.

The other option is a strain whos overall height is highly dependent on the pot size. i know all autoflowers are greatly affected by pot size, any ideas what size would yield the desired height?

lastly any experience using products such as bushmaster with autoflowering strains would be greatly appreciated.

thanks all!

Most "Ryder" strains stay under 20" and I get just over 1oz dry off of the few strains I have grown. I use 3 gals pots, so dropping the pot size to 1 or 2 gal might keep the height down lower. If you are pressed for the 16" limit, maybe someone else can chime in on what specific strain stays that small.

Why not look into LSTing your plants, you can keep the hight you want without compromising yield, and your not limited to only growing dwarf strains.im sure theres so info about it in the forum or if not check out youtube, theres a few good videos there to watch and learn

Some shorties that I've grown include Hindu Kush, Pakistan Valley and Snowryder. Others like Blue Himalayan, Himalayan Blue Diesel, and Diesel Ryder would probably stay within your requirements when grown in 2 gallon pots.

thanks for the input guys.

LST i feel ive just about mastered considering my last grow yielded close to an ounce from a 6" plant. I also have the option of benzylaminopurine as well as carinogenic compounds such as bushmaster.

however im starting up a breeding program and i want my seed brand to consistently produce plants that regardless of pot size and with out the need of training or chemicals stay very short and bushy while producing a solid oz.

The afghan kush ryder i had did stay small so that combined with muddy's input lets me know i should stick with such strains, good to know. ive also just started some himalayan blue diesel seeds which ive heard are usually small though large phenos are popping up more and more on this site.

any idea what volume hempy bucket would yield a plant of approximately the same size as a 2gal soil grow?

The only dwarfs I've grown are Red Dwarf and White Dwarf from buddah seeds. Red Dwarf is at day 61 with about a week to go (hope to harvest 7-4). White Dwarf was planted 2 weeks later but seems to be following closely. Both are around 14" with pretty large dense colas for there size. I'm actually amazed that the red dwarf is going to finish somewhat close to the time frame buddah seeds gives.

So far every "Dwarf" strain I've grown except for a single Red Dwarf has been over 3ft tall flowered...DWC baby!

^----we typically don't include the height of the bucket....(sorry, couldn't resist - I'm just being a jackass). How much dry weight buds were you getting off your 3' dwarfs? I'm curious if they produced more bud or if they just strecthed.

Here is Red Dwarf at day 69... Pretty much all the trichs are cloudy but very few amber. Hoping to harvest this weekend.
