New Grower duel spectrum for 400w hps,are they any good.

hi there,this is all new to me and im a bit stuck,iv orderd a 400w hps kit of ebay,it comes with a duel spectrum bulb,and what im needing to know will it b ok for growing my auto strains duering veg and flower,the guy at the shop says i just have to flip the times,im on a bit ov a budget,and im hoping these will surfice,but if not im all ears...any and all info much needed,thanx

Hey man,your dual spec bulb will be just fine for growing your autos as far as I'm aware.but with autos there's no need to flip to 12/12 as they will automatically flower on one light schedule,e.g 18/6 from start to finish.that's they beauty of autos they don't respond to light change the go with age,they veg for a very short time them burst into flower,then watch them go man as the growth spurt kicks in

cheerz red eye,yeah dude thanx for info,i know about the light factors for autos its just duel spec thing,i wasnt sure,its the guy at kitbag who sed that i would just have to flip to start bloom,this is my first auto grow and i need to know how long after they sprout out of the soil can u put them under hps and at wat distance,and is a 400w hps sufficiant for 3ftx3ft grow area?and is that gona b big enuff fo 8 autos small/med size???? lol sorry for the over load of questions its just that 4 of my 8 seeds av cracked,my hps is in the post,and im wanting the best results poss,thanks for listening ,peace out.

Well mate I can't give u any first hand info on hps as I don't use them,but iv read u need a good distance between yr light and plants as hps kick off heat,I'd say use yr hand judge the distance u need,if it's to hot for yr hand it's to hot for yr plants.And I'd say yr 400w will do fine in yr 3x3 grow space mate
