I would at least want them in paper bags. No reason you can't dry above the lights, provided the temps and rH are within range.

I don't know if it is Bro-science but I have always dried in a dark room with light air movement, 70°F and 50% RH. Every thing I remember reading said the same.

Think it's more of a "use what ya got" situation. If you have a dark room with air circulation, use it. If your low on space, improvise. My initial drying is being done in the tent opening (couple days) then

brown bagging on top of tent.

What i did last grow was turn 2 of my 3 autocobs and made a wall with some towels. One side had a trellis net with branches hanging and other side 1 plant flowering. Probably dried for 8 days and smoke is amazing.

Could you put them inside a cardboard box with holes inside the tent, sitting on top of the light?
I was kinda planning on that because humidity range is lower inside my tent than in the room and some will definitely finish earlier than others so there'll be a week or so where I can't turn off the light and I prefer to also get my next run started without to many days delay and a dark tent.

Sounds like the start of an experiment. Try all ways you can think of and compare...bro - science at its finest, lol.

I've done it a few times, above the lights, in brown paper bags - in a push it works.

Thanks all i was thing of making a false seeling with card board and a load if holes under the carbon filter so the walmer air is dragged up thu the cardboard

Keep it cool. the slower the dry and cure the better. 1 day for every 10% of humidity. then a day or two in brown bags.
so if RH is 40% four days of drying hung, then one or two in brown bags. many years ago, all drying was done in brown bags
my first was in 1965. :2cents::cheers:
