I've always dreamed of growing my own cannabis ever since I found my first seed. Popped 20 seeds in water bottle caps insert my bed when I was 16....somehow my step mom found them killed them ava that was that. 10 years later I tried again.....

So I started with a 4 bulb 4ft t5 fixture and 5seeds from 2 zips I bought from these southeastern Asians. Couple males couple females and lots of error(it was all trial). Learned how to clone, LST, super crop, flush, adjust ph, trim, ice water extraction, butane extraction, butter extraction, and the importance of slow drying. Ordered seeds online and grew out any I found in my bud. Played with some LEDs and finally upgraded to a 1k hps.

I've come a long way in 14 months...I'm starting to see my dream become reality.

I came across a video in which the grower kept referring to his soil as the"redwood forest floor" I liked the idea of not having to mix nutes and never chasing the soil. I got that adhd, so I tend to get bored and try different shit all the time. Causes lots of stress for me and my pants. I also think it's going to be 100% cheaper and simpler than what I've been doing.

My grow:
8'x8'x7.5' space
1k hps in yield master 2
400w hps hood, no glass
8k btu portable air conditioner w/ evaporative dehumidifier
Dehumidifier
Two 12in fans oscillating
1 bag mushroom co2
Mostly cloth pots
Pro mix hp
Fox farm nutes
Bloom, grow, tiger, open sesame, bestie bloom, cha-ching

I'm building this up to be a sealed environment. I just got some reflective insulation for the walls and ceiling, so I took the air cooled ventilation off the 1k and the glass. That was two days ago temps hit 93, so I'm gonna put that back in.

So, right now I have a BlackBerry(the seeds I ordered), cherry cheese(friends personal cross), vanilla(purchased clone)
My phone doesn't do well with the magnetic ballasts.

I'm currently building beds intended for 1k lights. I'm planning on 4 ftx4ft and 2ft deep. Ill be running dinafem autos as soon add these photos are finished and my soil is ready. I'll talk more about the soil next post. I have 5 og autos I'm dying to start!

I just took the tents down, I had two 4x4. My idea is to have an entirely sealed room, only hole is the door. I felt the tents were getting too hot and the full room would easily be able to dissipate the heart from both bulbs. I put my dehumidifier on a timer last night so that it's only on two hours during the day and on all night. Temps stayed in the mid eighties all day, so I think I can leave my 1k the way it is.

Them vanilla bud are something special, best I've ever smoked.... I had some timer issues last grow and ended up with a lot of seeds. I sprouted 5 vanilla and should have that by September October. I'm excited to see what it looks like. I also had temp issues with the winter so the buds came out a nice purple color....here take a look

I'm not expecting the purple again, but the vanilla I'm currently running is a clone of that one so I'm expecting greatness. And that vanilla in the pic here had a shit ton of seeds. Stupid digital timer with 7 programs, took me 5 months maybe to be in the room when my light shut off for 30 min everyday. I was upset but relieved that my seed issue had been so easily fixed. Bud was still killer, and what had to many seeds I turned to oil. Seeds didn't seem to have any affect on my bho, fyi.
Anyway, I'm stoned on that cherry cheese and forgot what I was responding to....

I'm building beds for my, I guess it's called, TLO soil that will support my lights too. I want everything in the room to work together, plus I'm switching to autos. I'm a bit crowded right now, but I started my free seed. It's royal queen northern lights, supposed to be 10 weeks from seed. I'll post a pic when it sprouts. I'm excited. I'm going to use the beds for the autos and basically veg my 5 vanilla seeds until all the autos are done, should be some big ass plants by then

So something happened to my beautiful vanilla plant, not 100% sure what it was but I had to cut it down. It just started to brown and die all over. Got about 2 zips tho doesn't taste the greatest but still works

still hope that you have a good smoke from them though and hope next vanilla grow will go better for you and become nice trees with fine buds
