For these seeds we were lucky enough to win in the Christmas Comp contest we will be planting one at a time, like in our other thread Babuska grow until we find females. would think would be able to tell sex on this one by now but have never had to look. think am just looking for hairs to come out near the branches instead of stems with seed pods at the end from what have read and seen online. its probably pretty evident when its a male ? She has been on 1/4 strength nutrients for about 7 days and will go to 1/2 tomorrow. Here are some pics of her at Day 19, yesterday. As always welcome any and all comments.

Like always we have a 10x10 attic room with a 400w MH in one of the bays on one side of room, We have a 600W HPS in another bay in between the rafters on the other side. we are using ProMix BX and have Botanicare pure blend pro soil Nutrients Grow and Bloom. . We germinated straight into 3 gallon Pots

@dkmall congrats on winning those beans! Should be a great ride! From the little I can make out in the pics I think you may have a lady, if not you look to have one fine looking fella... Ever think of throwing one of the males under a cfl in another part of the house and collecting some pollen?
Looking forward to this I've tried to run the et a few times and IT WAS ALWAYS something or rather that it was a male or I killed it, so haven't seen this baby full term yet! Thanks for starting the journal! :karma Cloud: of :gthumb:

I would do 2 per pot, they love multi potting, and that way you'll have a lot better chance of getting a the least one female.

i have found 2 out of 3 times that the taller plants tend to be the males in the bunch.i usually do 20 to 75 dragons and get 50 or 60 % females unless i start in cool weather --then i tend to get more boys----dont really know why but its been my 30 yrs experance---

thanks for the confirmation, is what I thought anyways. Don't think quite ready for pollen and making own seeds yet but seems like a kewl concept and is good to learn more about. When you say plant 2 in one pot, what do you transplant one of them after ?

Most of the time the male shows first and 50% avg your odds are better to get at least one female with two seeds in one pot, you just chop the boy and let the other go..If by chance you get two girls! you can leave them both cause they do well in multi pots.... But if you want pic the biggest healthy girl and chop the other?
