New here. I have a 80 Pot system. My water reservoir is located outside of my flowering room. My tank temp is at 55F. Unfortunately the water temps in my autopots is sitting at 75F. I have been able to cool down my temps just by adding nutrients ice cubes but it's a fair amount of work. I see they make Plant skirts but only for the single pot configurations. Anyone have a solution to get the temps down other than me insulating the supply lines and also insulating all of the pots. Fair amount of work. Does anyone have any 2 pot skits?

Image for clarification. Seems like a terrible design flaw

Maybe air domes with the pump in a cool area. If you aren't already running air domes then that's out for now. 75F is not the ideal water temp but I would imagine that most Autopot systems run around that or even higher.

Sounds like an interesting set up you'r running. You should think about posting details. I'm sure a lot of members would find it interesting.

By the way, there is a sub section spicificly for Autopots under "Types of Growing / Hydrophonics / Autopots" on the Forum. Might want to ask over there.

I've never had an issue with auto pots related to solution temperature. What ever the temp in the grow room was, the res is, probably mid 70's. And I'm sure in the pot bases it may have hit the 80's at times, But it's not like hydro and I've not seen anyone have issues related to solution temps as the solution does not remain in the base for long periods of time. Hell people use them in greenhouses and I guarantee they got much hotter!

I would not worry about 75°F in an autopot because the oxygen the roots need is pulled into the substrate and not delivered by the fertigation. I would consider using HydroGuard to prevent any kind of pathogen getting a foot hold in the tanks but other than that I think you are fine.
