It looks like threes were a pretty good automatic watering solution for a decent price. But haven’t really seen anyone still using them. @pop22 I think maybe used to use them ozone69 did as well but doesn’t seem to be here any more. Is there anyone else that still uses them

Ive been using them for a couple of months. I love them. No expert on them but have a little experience.

They are prone to flooding and blocked lines due to salt buildup. I think that is why they died out. I actually ordered some and they come monday. I want to give them a run. I am using PH perfect coco nutrients and blumats. I think it's a winning combo.

The other problem is Algae buildup in the reservoir as you constantly have to top up to maintain correct pressure in the blumats. Some run a float valve and have a main tank filling the reservoir that feeds the plants.

Did you have any runaway drippers that flooded your grow? I read some stories and they can be working normal and suddenly massive flooding.

My blumats come monday, Any advice for me?

I'm using the Blumat Classic Jrs (the little passive ones, no dripper) in 1 gallon fabric pots to provide some water to top of soil as I'm bottom feeding. Rate is really slow; I think 75ml per 24hr? I use them more for piece of mind of having a "dumb" backup.

Thanks guys. I have thought about any auto watering solution and the res algae problem. So I am going to build a big insulated box with a hinged lid so it will be in the dark all the time. I would love if when you get em setup to tag me and let me know how they work

Absolutely. I bought the 47 liter reservoir that comes with it. I think it had a lid. I plan to top up daily. I heard with 5.8 PH I won't have problems with algae

@GMAW I dm’d you. I’ve been using them since April or so and I have had zero issues. I love them. But, I use them outdoors and runaways are less of a concern for me. That said, I haven’t had any runaways. If people are interested I can give an overview of my setup with pics. It’ll just take me a couple days to put it together. Again, no expert but I seem to have them dialed in pretty good. Peace

I would personally appreciate any advice and and tips or tricks. I'm terrified to flood my tent and floor with 47 liters. I am looking for a 3x3 water tray but it's slim pickings where I am at. I found a place that has a 3x3 and they wanted 150 usd to ship it on a pallet. Wtf is that!
