Grow Room does anyone have experience with cmh bulbs

just wondring if anyone has used or is using a cmh buld instead of a hps, its suppost to be cooler and have alt more of the color spectrum that the plants need. the one thing i was wondering is it doesnt put off the lumens like a hps
example a 400 hps puts out around 50,000 lumems and th cph only puts out like 35,000 lumens. if anyone has any input can you let me know

i bought a 400w phillips cmh retro version
but,it is not compatible with my ballast,
it will light up but my ballast gets really hot and smells like burnt rubber
when i called the 800 number i was told the bulb was not recommended for
my application. so check your ballast b4 you spend the cash
btw i have a 430w digital ballast.

ty ive read that they wont take a digital ballast only the ilder electric ballasts work, if i change tio that bulb would i have to cut down on the plants that grows in the same space since it doesnt have as mant lumens?

ok heres the set up a 150w hps, a 250w led glowpanel, and a 400w hps all in a line in a 3ft by 11ft space, can grow ten in 3gallon pots but if i switch too the cmh bulb will i have to cut down to 8 pots?

Ahhh! I remember you asking if a 430w ballast was ok, but you didn't mention before it was a digital.
I should of clarified with you before saying it was ok to run.

no not at all, it was a good try anyway.
i've spent alot more than that on things
from the shopping channels on nights
where i felt so bad i couldn't sleep.

horizontal with the 400w hps then the led, then the 150hps the way the space is the lights have to hang in a row that way but all plants get rotated not only in a circle also in a line so they can get all the different light specs. im mainly woried about the light pennatraiting the cannapy with the space being skinny and long the cannapy get thick even with the tall skinny indicas lol damn shouldnt have waked n baked with assassins mix with mi5 that bowl rocked lol

thanks for the advice im gonna really look into that bulb the light specs are supposed to be the best all around and even if its like just a couple of degrees cooler thats better then a hotter bulb like the dual archs trying to get more of the color specs

I just finished a grow with 2 400 watt cmh's and some cfl's. 5 plants and yield was 26 oz's total dried. I really liked them and I know pretty high total yield but I did document this grow from start to finish daily on another site(So no B.S. on the yield and one of your members was invited over and into grow room).

would these bulbs work on a

ive only seen them in the 400w but i do know you cant use a digital ballast
