New Grower Does a FFOF & FFHF mixture need any additives or amendments?

Anyone familiar with using OF & HF? I am going to use a ½-½ mixture in a 3 gallon pot for my next lady. (hubbabubbasmelloscope auto) Also going to add about 30% perlite.

From your experience, do you recommend anything else be added to the medium right from the get go such as: worm castings, coffee grounds, epsom salts, etc? Or are OF and HF fine by themselves? (I have no idea what is "hot" and what is not. Well, in the cannabis world at least!)

What I plan on doing is filling a 3 gallon pot with 40OF/40HF/20Perlite all mixed together....then make a solo cup impression in the middle and filling that hole with just happy frog. Then as she gets older her roots will search out the richer soil.

I can only speak for happy frog, but you won't really need anything for the first month really. It's loaded with stuff. If you give it anything, probably just stick with calmag or the equivalent lol. Just keep it lite if you add anything else. Like 1/4 tsp per gallon till your lady is established and stuff.
