are there any other seedbanks with an automatic strain that can match the potency and yeild that dutch passion does?

Best is subjective but there is a lot of evidence that they have some top notch genetics. I can testify that I love Think Different but that is my only personal experience with Dutch Passion.

Its hard to say who makes the best "auto" I feel like DP has some of the best in the business I did a TD .. and it was flawless .. But to say the DP is the best is like saying apple makes the best phones..

To match potency? hell yea they are a few auto strains that are very strong! sweet seeds Dark devil is a very strong plant..

They do make some great autos but so do a lot of other seedbanks like Sweet Seeds, dinafem,Budda seeds, and many more.

I can say without a doubt they are number one in stability. Most other breeders still have 5-10 phenotype it seems. At least to me anyway.

Ahh this is THE question. When it comes to seedbanks and breeders I just asked myself who has been doing it the longest. The answer Dutch Passionm they are the leaders in stablizing strains IMO. As stated above there are many good breeders out there but it takes a certain amount of time(or generations of a certain strain) to get a strain to produce the desired results 90% of the time.

So if you go on say Paradise seeds and they are selling there version of Blueberry(I am just using this as an example DP owns the only true BB strain) it may have 10 years of stabilizaiton where as with Dutch Passion it has been almost 30 years.

Way back when, when seeds were first becoming available on the internet you had 1 choice really get a pack of 10 seeds plant them all and hope you get more females than males. Most of the old school growers only knew this way of growing, then something amazing happened! There was a revolution in the seeds that were being produced and for the first time when I went to buy a pack of beans I saw "Feminized" seeds, guess who pioneered that...... Dutch Passion. It took a long time before they would actually realse the seeds because there standards for breeding selection is second to none.

This is the same thing that has happened with autos. I have purposely waited almost 7 years to start growing auto's. The reason being is because when autos first came out(Lowryders) while yes they did autoflower, they were really small and not all that potent. It has taken this long to effectively breed all of the traits we love like yield and potency into the ruderalis genes that make a plant autoflower. Again Dutch Passion to the rescue, because many believe DP to have the largest collection of Landrace(old school original cannabis strains or "pure" strains" on the planet this allows them the best set of genes to start working with, thus creating IMO the best cannabis strains on earth be it photos, feminized, or autofem seeds.

I am currently growing DP's AutoXtreme and I picked that strain in part because I got the best of 2 world Dutch Passion and Dinafem(my 2nd favorite breeder) who did a 2 year collaboration to come up with the AutoXtreme.

Another thing that makes DP the best in my humboldt opinion is there germination succsess rate. I have been growing DP genetics for around 10 years or so and I can only remember out of literally hundreds of seeds only having 1 not pop(and I think it was my fault) I have never heard of anyone having trouble getting DP seeds to germinate.

The folks at DP have standards for breeding that would blow most peoples minds. Just take a look at the lineage and biography of how DJ Short made the Blueberry strain(thousands and thousands of plants were grown just to get "the ONE" that had the traits he was looking for)

If you choose Dutch Passion genetics you will not be disappointed, in fact lots of folks once they grow DP never grow anything else(I am a prime example)

Hope this helps, and thanks for the oppritunity to brag on my favorite Breeders on the planet! Sending Great Grow Karma your way friend! If you have any other questions about DP don't hesitate to ask or shoot me a pM

We'll see. Never grown anything by DP before my current auto round. I've grown a lot of strong exotic strains, my friend said the two DP autos I have going now smell like "regular dutch weed", has me a bit worried. They're also not the fastest autos I've grown, but I guess that slower flowering lets the plants grow larger, a trait that I personally don't need in my grows.

There are a few strains and grow journals that I have seen that say pretty much the same thing, that while growing some strains don't have the potent smell while growing. I personally believe this to be attributed to the rapid growth rate. In photoperiod plants they are growing at a much slower rate which allows some of the starches to break down into sugars while the plant is still growing(kinda like it is curing on the plant) during flowering. Auto's are growing so fast that the plant doesnt have the time to do this so it is done in the curing process. I don't know how many journals I have read where the smell doesn't really come all the way out until a proper cure has been done. What strain(s) are you growing now?

Autoxtreme and Auto Blueberry. Next round is most likely going to be same, but I'm going to add an auto blue mazar to the mix.. unless I'm not impressed by the AX and ABB, we'll see. I can't comment on the smell that much because I don't have a sense of smell anymore.

I am sure you have already checked out the smoke reports on those strains but if not both are supposed to be excellent(I finally decided on the AutoX becaue of Tangs smoke report he has grown a LOT of DP strains and he says the autoX is one of his personal favs and he calls them his "magic seeds"). I am personally waiting a couple more years on the Auto Bluberry because I grew the Photoperiod version for almost 10 years and I got suuuuper spoiled because I had it dialed in.

I am growing the AutoX's as well and from everything I have read the smell of the autoX is straight Haze and comes on later in flowering. As for the AutoBB I have only seen one or two full grow journals and they both said it is some of the best smoke they have ever had when it comes to taste. I am also going to be growing the Blue Auto Mazar and entering it in the BAMSLAM competition here on AFN on Jan 1st) So it look like we have the same taste in strain selection lol

So sorry to hear you cant smell very good as the blueberry strain is something every conisouer needs to smell and taste at least once(it really is a marvel of trait selection in the breeding process)
