DLI Question-ish

My question is, does anyone go from 18-6 to something else when your girls are in full flower mode? I have noticed about 3 hours before my 18/6 cycle is over, my girls droop like they haven’t been watered. They have been properly watered but still looks the same. Still working on my DLI situation. My grows (autos) are 24/0 for seedlings and then 20/4 all the way through.

I have seen my plants droop at different times and believed that it was a function of lighting. That is not correct, as best I've been able to determine. Bugbee was asked about that in one of his videos and he did not have a definitive answer. According to Bugbee, the best theory about that its the plants reaction to what it perceives as sunset and has nothing to do with light levels.

I run my on 24/0 for the first two week then 18/6 till harvest... I notice my plants tend to droop right before lights off.. I believe the theory is that once your plants reach the dli they want for the day they will start to droop... BUT some plants just like droop or it maybe from something else.... my guess is they just know it is about time to rest

That’s what I was thinking. My girls are reaching to the sky about midway through the cycle and at the end they flop over. I learned something from your post that was something I didn’t realize. They are always perky when in veg and they love the light. Flower they reach a peak. Thanks for making me realize the difference.

I run 16/8 seed to harvest and have never seen them droop before lights out. They are only a little droopy for about 30minutes when lights come on and they’re waking up. And they grow more in the 8 hours off than the 16 on.

I began following this chart with my current grow (Day 48 now) and it has kept me in the safe zone so far. Previously, I had been at higher intensities used for photos and was having stressed plants.

I start seedlings on 24/0 and then finish with 20/4 with great success. I do occasionally see droopy leaves depending on the strain but I honestly don't pay much attention and just focus on my DLI, the plants seem to handle it fine. I aim for 50 DLI in peak flower. I get the same droopy leaves if I mist my young plants.
