DIY Diy octagonal toms bud tumbler

So, I decided to build a toms tumbler cuz people are asking if I could manicure it down like a dispensary... mostly the younger ones. I used some 1/2 “ plywood, 1/2 “ hardwood dowel, clear storage bin and 1/4” galvanized steel mesh for rabbit cages. Sorry I don’t have an assembly montage but got pics of unit (without crank) just in case anyone wants to look

Quite the build. How do you load it? I'm guessing there is a hatch in the wire we, or at least I, cant see? Do let us know how it works. I'm curious between yours and the one @TxRebel/Mark built.

Wood was too fancy for me!

I screenshot and then circled time to show how fast it works! Was def worth the 2hrs and $50 to make it!

Also you may need to go get a bigger tote cuz it’ll def throw some pieces out the top of u can’t cover it! Also depending how dry buds are it’ll make a big pile of kief so u don’t want it to be able to be blown away! I always dump trash onto trim bin afterwards to separate it out so I can save it!

Mid March- early April, got the 4 in the 4x4 tent and Scrog girl in the 2x2 closet. One in closet looking a week ahead of tent girls. She’s an HSO passion fruit punch. Got another of the same I accidentally mani folded in the tent

UPDATE- tried the tumbler out... works decent! I loaded it with the HSO Passionfruit Punch I harvested and dried for 5 days then jarred for two. Was just gonna burp but figured for the 15 minutes the jar is open I could just tumble... so rotated the crank 1 full revolution every 2 seconds for 10 min.

Then I took the 160 micron bubble bag on a bucket with the bucket bottom removed and dry sifted the droppings... that’s a pile of keif with a puck already pressed... all in all? Not bad, it works... I have better than hand trimmed bud and a wad of keif. 3.5 out of 5 stars. I still prefer hand trimmed wet but when challenged by a friend... ya just gotta!!!
