What's up guys. Just finiahed up a DIY dealing with Northern Grow Lights.

I didn't take pics all along the way which I apologize for but just wanted to say that Nothern is a great company to deal with and anyone needing advice or parts along the way in their diy just give Robin a call and get hooked up.

This is a DIY conversion starting with an eshine LED and converted to a 2 cob fixture. Here's the final product..

They are the cxb3590 72volt they were on sale for $36 bucks each. And unfortunately there's no real way to run the grow and bloom lol... but I wired 1 to the grow and 1 to the bloom and wired both fans to run no matter which light is on. So yes if you want to run 1 cob for veg and 1 for bloom that's an option lol

:woohoo1: :clapper: :clapper: :clapper: :cooldance: That's my baby!! A-Train did an excellent job on this conversion, including some nice fabrication work- :bow: Thank you again my friend! ...yes, Robin is good peep's-:cheers:...he stepped up for me on information, test results, and even parts that were just out of stock, or not available through him! :thumbsup: :thanks:

:dizzy: Holy poop tea, these COB's are fierce bright! :amazon: My beater camera could not handle dealing with them except from a few positions... Here are a few shots from tonight, in my ghetto supplemental light space- :rofl: I can't wait to run new strains with this unit! Meantime, current ones will finish up under it,... interesting light effects; it looks so "white" , but see how pale the plants look under it,..that HOD is nice and green still!

@Waira I'm glad ypu like her .... your like a brother to me and anything I can to to help I'm always here....I will tell you my feed schedule changed under the cobs. It's not fully refined yet but the plants just react so well to them It's pretty much like I had to add a little more due to Tha added growth ...

nice! well done @A-Train man! where do I go to and who should I talk to on AFN to get a DIY COB built? I don't have the time or the proper tools to build one myself. Nice job mate!:slap:

how hot do those run btw? im running two Area-51 rw150's and it is a bastard to keep th temps down in a 32x32x70 tent! i know come winter it will help but right now im struggling with slightly crispy leaves.

:jointman: A-T' you built a beaut' my brudda, "Belle" will be feasting the girls on photons for years I hope! ... :eyebrows: now, gimme a sec to find @blue, and cozy up big boy coz it's your turn to be made into a Manwich by us!! :kiss::crying::bighug: :nono: :haha::haha::haha:

>> dm- :toke: It's a fine plan mate, ask around your group of friends, even locally,.. the parts were surprisingly inexpensive, bare in mind this unit is using the fans and drivers from the eShite it was before,... it cost me as nearly much to ship back and forth as the parts did! Like you, I don't have the experience or tools to tangle with this task in a safe, proper manner, and with something like this, an error can be potentially catastrophic, right? :eek1: ...I lucked out big time here! As for the heat, it's hard for me to say because my space is outside in a covered courtyard and not enclosed,... there's some heat from the COB's (intensity is like a camera flash that's constant!), but nothing like HID, and I'm betting overall it's about the same as my P300 LED... low heat is what had be hooked by LED to begin with!

@A-Train Thats a very nice DIY conversion.:cool1:
Cannot read the driver specs but looks like about 180 watts total. 1 cob for veg and 2 cob for bloom is a great idea.

@Waira thanks for sharing the pic. The lamp looks great in your tent. You can remove the reflectors if the light is too intense or your plants get close to lamp.
