Indoor distance from light

I have 3x60 day wonder around 2 feet hight. How near can i put the light?
250 hps.

Just use yr hand to judge the heat from the light mate.if its too hot for yr hand it's to hot yr girls and raise it up till its not to hot,but close enough to penetrate

Cos somebody told me that i can put them nearer, i have them at 18 inches at the mo

Thank you, maybe they will grow quicker now. This is my second try. I have then in the corner surrounded by mylamar reflective sheeting. At the moment i put on the fan a couple of times a day, not so much for the heat but get the air circulating. Should i leave it on all the time? I am giving them 18/6, does the dark period have to be pitch black, also does it matter if sometimes they get an hour more or less of light?

It is preferred to be dark dark during their sleep time, but isn't as important with Autos, very important with photos. If you are frequently changing the light schedule, even with Autos, you run the risk of stressing your plants, which is no good. Are you using a timer? If not, get one. And I would leave the circulation fan going 24 hours. Hope this helps.

Thank you, I will grow the next crop and do as you suggest, maybe i will get a smaller fan though and leave it on a 24.

Mate a easy trick is to use a thermometer underside the lamp to check the temp. Since i've starting done that i've closed the top of plants to the bulb without taking the risk to burn them. The closer to the lamp, better it's.
