Slapped ya around a bit, for that nice green thumb of yours:slap:One love and peace to you:peace:

Thank you all for stopping by to visit me! Much respect for the rep from you both, very encouraging!

I just got in from work and took a peek in the tent - Ive got the light up just about as far as it can go - with my setup- I have my led panel about 8" from the top of one plant, and about 10-12" from the top of the other -

I think I need to find a strain that will be a little bit shorter - because these girls stretched like crazy! I will take a measurement this weekend from the soil to the top- Im going to be searching for a strain to grow that wont get this tall, maybe a shorter single cola dominant with a few side branches, not SOOO bushy! I think the next round of girls would benefit from these lights being a little further away, but we shall see - I know Ive got at least a few more weeks to go yet but boy do they STINK! It is a sweet skunky smell as opposed to the last (auto skunk mass) was more just pure skunky. These got like a hmmmmm how should I say ...... like Vanilla skunk, a sweetness to it. Reeks when I open the tent! Love it!

I love you all and thank you for repping me - I will post more shots this weekend!

:peace:

wow!!!... looking good bro... i'm still waiting for the day... to have a plant that size.. well done!

Looking great. How do you like the phresh filter and hydrofarm fan? As of right now, I only have an oscillating fan going in the tent. Temp 73 and Humidity 55 right after watering down to about 43 when they dry out. But, now that they are starting to flower, humidty is getting up there, and I'm trying to keep it as low as possible. The room the tent is in has a humidity of 35 consistently. So, I ordered a small $20 duct fan to shove in there until I order a proper fan/filter. I think I'll miss the smell throughout the house, but I guess it wouldn't hurt if everyone that walked up stairs didn't know I was growing weed. Maybe one day, it'll all change and we'll be growing outside where we are supposed to be.

Thank you Shauninspace!

To be honest, My last grow was in about a 1-1.5 gal pot. It was Advanced seeds Auto Skunk Mass - the overall height and size was considerably less- about half the height, although they budded quicker - may be the strain thats all.

This time I used a 10 liter container for each plant -

(shipped fast, great customer support also, HUGE selection!)

I attribute the overall size to the container but also the strain itself as it was said to be bushy. I think they would be bigger if I had planted the seed in the final destination (home) Instead I started in party cups and transplanted, the taproot had already circled almost twice. I took them out of the party cups, and sprinkled ZHO Root Innoculant on them, and transplanted to the 10 liter pots.

Besides outdoors, these are the biggest that I have personally grown. Im sure you will have them this big at some point, bump up your container size, they will be even more happy. My Main stem is about an inch wide now! I noticed a big difference this time using Dyna Grow Protekt in a foliar form, about once every week or so. I think its silicate helped with the sturdiness of stems and branches, they are like all ripped and thick!
Good luck! Thanks for coming by!

Instead I started in party cups and transplanted
believe or not for autos as I've seen and from the "oldies" on here on autos touching or messing with the root is a big no no and causes the plant to slow down a bit.

I guess the exception would be in hydro/bubble where they are constantly being tossed and fidgeted

Try the "double cup"? method. one party cup w/bottom cut out. one party cup to set it inside of and then just slip it out and slide into big pot with no little to no root changes :)

HOWEVER, it def. could ALL be with strain.

Hey Jonah, Nice to see you again!

I am very happy with the performance of my 4" Hydrofarm (172 cfm) fan, and 4x12 Phresh Filter (rated for 200 cfm). I have been using it a little over 6 months, and I would say there is not even a hint of an odor. When it comes time for you to look at them - I think you will get what you pay for with fans/filters.

Your temps sound similar to mine, my humidity is a tad higher, usually floating between 40-50% humidity. Temps with lights on are low seventies, and I think around upper sixties with the light off.

That being said, my odor/air filtration cost me about $160 out the door - $90 for the filter, $60 for the fan. Oh yes, the ducting - got it for about $15 for a 20 foot run of it. So we are talking $175.

Could I have gone cheaper? Absolutely without a doubt- But I was thinking long term. What if I upgrade the size tent? Or add another? I wanted to have options. I am working with about 35 cubic feet - a 172 cfm fan is WAY overkill. I have all flaps opened and one port wide open and the sides still get sucked in quite a bit. I believe a fan controller would help with this.

The fan and filter are hung with zip ties to the frame, and connections are made with hose clamps, duct tape, and supported with more heavy duty zip ties. I cannot hear the fan because it is inside the tent, but more so from the air pouring out of the 4" ducting. Again, I think a speed controller would chill this out, or some kind of silencer. Not loud enough for me to worry though. If people are coming anywhere near or IN my bedroom, I could close the closet door and you barely hear it.

Safety and security should be the #1 priority when doing this- If odor has been noticed, or is a problem, I would definetly suggest getting a filter and exhaust fan combo. I mean, we all know it stinks - do you really want to be getting in trouble (if not medical) by the odor , when it is easily controlled? If anyone is reading this - ONA may help a odor problem or hide it but that's about it. There is no covering up flowering dank. If you are in a renting situation, there may be a time when an emergency takes place and staff/maintenance need to come in. Don't let the smell get you caught! This to me is #1, for your safety!

Lastly, when I was surfing the AFN for reviews on fans/filters - One of the last I read before making up my mind was a post by Muddy. If I remember correctly (and I am currently toasted) I think he said he was running two tents with his Hydrofarm, and has used it for years with great results.

Wish ya luck Jonah!

just curious whats your length x width x height?

Hope to hear from you again,

Blackbriar

DAY 63 - WHITE WIDOW AUTO

Hello AFN Brothers and sisters,

I took a few photos just peeking in the tent, so you can get a glimpse of whats going on- they are moving along a bit quicker now, and plan on riding this out all the way to the end. I think I have 3 more weeks- and I am in no means of a rush. They can take their time, and I will just keep em happy! Thanks for coming by, Blackbriar.
