This thread is for all of us to chat with our mate Dinafem Mark about everything pertaining to Dinafem-

As the titles says, please post your feedback, questions, comments and all that here- :thanks:
We are in good hands with Mark and Dinafem!

@Dinafem-Mark :toke: .... pardon the delay getting this up, I just plain spaced,... :face: what a gellie! :haha:...also had to crop up the pic some because of the HSO stuff; I can lose the trees too if you like.... (BTW folks, Mark is also the rep' for Humboldt Seed Organization)....

I'll go first too! I won some Dina-beans in the Outdoor comp last season, and Dinafem was gracious in offering prizes to all the winners - :woohoo1:... They came quickly, with no troubles via stealth shipping,... Got a great T-shirt too!
I chatted with Mark about my climate conditions and requirements from a given strain, mainly speed and mold resistance, and got some great recommendations.... :thanks:

@Dinafem-Mark

I have an unusual variant in your Haze CBD. It looks like a Sativa throwback, similar to Barney's Farm, Dr. Grinspoon. She looks like a pussywillow! Have you seen this before? I've grown quite a few of these and was surprised.

I'm considering chopping this plant. I've no way to have it tested for CBD content And igf it were to have low or no CBD I couldn't smoke it if I wanted to.Pure-high Sativas affect my heart, causing PVC, Post Ventricular Contractions, which is very scary and uncomfortable. Wish I had testing available to me, i hate wasting a fine plant like this!

I have seen it before my friend, it's quite a unique trait and something we have found when Crossing a high CBD strain with a heavy sativa dominant strain like a "haze". They tend to grow very thin looking flowers, trichome development is increased and from testing cbd levels are as intended.

As you can't use heavy sativa strains due to medical conditions Haze CBD may have not been the best selection. Drop me a pm mate and I'll try to find a better CBD strains suited for your needs :pass:

All the best

That was a very classy reply man, kudos

Damn shame about the plant, its gone to compost I understand but like you say, guys with sativa allergy should look elsewhere, only stands to reason haha

Can I take the opportunity to ask, what is haze, Amnesia, Amnesia haze, etc. I see your original amnesia is 30 % indica, When is something a haze and how are those percentages indica/sativa arrived at?

Thank you for your kind offer! I've grown quite a few of you Haze CBD and this is the only time I've had this genotype pop up. I've been pleased with the more common type. I've been making effective coconut based oil with them. My only wish was that there were a bit more productive, but that said, this is my fourth grow of them.

Also do you have a more Indica CBD strain with at least a 50 / 50 average of CBD to THC?

I can try my best to answer mate. A haze typically was or is a strain that takes much longer to flower than a traditional "indica" dominant strain. If you take a very old haze such as Super silver which could take upto 16 weeks to fully flower. These strains were more of a connoisseur strain due to the time they took to bloom compared to other strain on the market (I'm talking about the mid 80s to later 90,s era).

Now, many hazes came out through this time period, some had there background in Jamaica others landrace strains mainly from the South Asia region of the world

As the flowering time of these haze based strains was not "practical" for general cultivation the genetics were played with and Amnesia haze was born in the late 90,s in Amsterdam, Holland.

When we started to work with the strain(2004-2006) we had 5 different amnesia cuttings, they got grew out and we settled on our "Original Amnesia" the clone we selected retained a lot of the old traditional haze aspects such as growth structure and more importantly the end product was "haze" but flowered I'm under 10 week's. Perfect for what we needed and a true representation of "Amnesia haze"

I hope that helps my friend?

All the best :bong:
