Howdy, Peeps :smoking:
I was given the honor of doing a test grow of a couple of Dinafem's new auto CBD strains. Here is a review of the auto Industrial Plant CBD tester. It is just starting a proper cure, so this is a review of "dried proper, not cured".. That said... I have patients just BEGGING for this powerful, effective medicinal strain. It will be used to make tinctures and salves, with more info to come!
:smoking:
SeedBank :
Dinafem
Strain:
Industrial Plant CBD
Did it autoflower?: Yes, started flowering at day 29.
Soil/hydro:
1 gallon root pouches, Roots Organic Cocopalms/perlite (80/20) Handwatered, 2x/day.
Nutes:
Advanced Nutrients, modified expert schedule.. Added Bud Blood at start of flower, and always use Carboload- 1/2 strength until week 3 of flowers, then full strength until flush.
Light (kind and schedule):
Mars Hydro Reflector 192- always on.
From seed to harvest date: 83 days
Dry Yield: 67g, from one plant, 23" tall, in one gallon pouch
High/Effect Duration:
Onset is Fast, and moderately sedating. I commented in another thread that is was like a swig of paragoric (oil of opium/grain alc) that was a popular opiate in the US when I was a kid... It literally blankets you in a warm, mellow sense of calm. And, the pain relief is nearly Instant, and Effective!! I am in constant pain from lower spine problems, and it literally Kills the pain- from 4 hits.
In-depth
This strain grows easily, with no noted issues-I used cal mag sparingly, but didn't see any signs of def until one week into flush... lol The bud was plentiful, with hard and trich soaked flowers all over. Not much in the way of stink, though she started to put out a gentle flowery scent at about Day 49 until harvest- sort of african violet coated in linseed oil... Full disclosure- the leafiness of the buds makes for a moderately difficult clean trimming. That said, the sugar leaves are covered in glassy goodness, so the trim will provide EPIC material for tinctures and salves!
RATE SCALE:* Eauphoria... 3.5 Medicinal....5+!
BAG APPEAL:*****
Beautiful, tight buds, mostly nugs with the top colas being longer and full. Even at "just going into cure" it has a slight scent of marjoram, with the linseed scent ever present.
THE GROWTH:*****
It grows like a pine tree, and the bud sites are prolific from 3 inches from the medium.
THE SMELL:*****
Growing-light flowery Curing-Marjoram and linseed
THE SMOKE:*****
A sweetish, rich smoke, no expansion or couching... Lovely exhale taste.
THE HIGH:*****
The best word for the "buzz", to me, is "Solitude"... It really shines in the pain relief department, and it is NOT heady at all. Its akin to a click of the morphine button, in both feel and efficacy.
I cannot be more thankful to @Dinafem-Mark and Company, for the joy of growing out this strain! I'll post a review of my other tester, Auto Haze CBD, in a few days-and equally intriguing grow, that!
Hope everyone with medicinal needs looks up this strain! It is a new tool in my medicine chest, and I am sure it will be powerful medicine in extracts and topicals, too!
