Joint Doctor - Diesel Ryder

I was gifted these by a generous donator. They were seeds grown out from a pack of JD's, and the best bred through again so make these seeds.

I'm going to be doing the same as well, so hoping I'm popping 10 seeds and hoping for 5 females. 1 will be to pollinate, and the others for weed. I'm also going to be keeping some of the pollen from any selected male to breed with a regular plant after Christmas & make a start on my own auto. I'm still not 100% which plant that will be yet.

Anyway, usual 20/4 under my 250w hps light. DR60 60cm x 60cm x 140cm Tent. John Innes No 2 Soil. Some new nutes (though I haven't bought them yet. I may just go for my usual Ionics). Rhitzononic, Cannyzym & Final Phase.

I'm only getting the thread up for the moment. I'll be away for a few weeks holiday & then I'll be straight back into my new grow the day I come back again.

Resinous, tasty auto-flowering authentic strain. This long awaited third instalment, in the Joint Doctor’s work, is a potent, extremely resinous and tasty auto-flowering plant. An inbred cross of Soma`s NYC Diesel and Lowryder #2, this strain normally produces one main cola with less branching than Lowryder or Lowryder #2.

Unlike most other Lowryder hybrids created by amateurs, in the guise of new seed companies, this strain has been worked on by the Joint Doctor and mastered over the course of some years to ensure the perfect hybrid that maintains the excellent taste and effect of NYC Diesel whilst taking the auto-flowering genetics.

Typical of the Joint Doctor`s strains, Diesel Ryder flowers automatically at 3-4 weeks and finishes in 8-9 from seed. A small proportion of this strain will grow significantly taller than other individuals. This is a good choice for closets and small indoor set-ups but please note plants do give off a powerful odour during flowering.

Genetics: New York City Diesel x Lowryder #2
Variety: sativa / indica / ruderalis
Type: Stabilized hybrid
Harvest Date: 9 weeks from seed
Flowering Period: 6+ weeks
THC Content: 17-19%

Strain: Diesel Ryder
Breeder: Joint Doctor
Location: indoor, outdoor
Type: ruderalis/indica/sativa
Flowering: Automatic flowering
~60 days (From seedling to harvest.)
No feminized seeds.

but please note plants do give off a powerful odour during flowering.

They mean that so be prepared for ordor issues hehehe

Cheers everyone. Yep I've grown these before, so know they have a right lovely pong. Filter has been replaced recently, so this is probably the best time to grow them.

On a growing note I've now finished putting together my 10 2lt vegging bottles. Only need to get this weed dry & I'll prep the tent for when I get back.

Ok, back off my hols and put 10 seeds into paper. 2 days later and 7 have split, 1 is not in good shape & 2 undecided. I've stuck another two seeds in to soak just in case & put the 7 into my first 2lt pop bottles to start off.

Lights will be coming on in a couple of hours for testing the bulb, timers etc, but we are a go :)

Back with another update. No pics as yet, but I'm not going to bother with seed shots etc as I can't be arsed.

At the moment I've only got 2 plants above soil. There were a couple of others, but the seedlings were very poor condition and also died, none of the others made it above soil. I've put the last 2 seeds into pop & we'll see how these go.

No matter about the seedling rate, but it does put me in the unusual position of hoping for as many males as possible. If these (possibly) 4 plants are male, or there's at least 1 good male I'll be continuing with collecting the pollen. I've got 3 femmed blueryders or something like that which I'll put into soak tonight, and maybe some of my own widow ones just in case no decent male turns up.

so are you going to back cross or line breed I'm having trouble trying to plan to keep the vigor by doing 2 breeding lines with 3 parents some people also self the parents to see there f2's to see the varation in there parents genes

sorry thought this was your breeding thread lol nice to see what you think of the dr's anyway
