Day 9 glue gelato. How do they look?

2 nine day old glue gelato autos from Barney’s farm. 3x3 tent 5 gallon fabric pots with 50/50 happy frog/ ocean forest. Pre wet with worm tea using molasses, black gold worm casting, and a tsp of great white(brewed 36 hrs). Watering with ice mountain spring water (5oz every 12 - 24 hrs)until I get r/o for full watering around day 14-21. Ice mountain ph 6.8. To my untrained eye they seem to be doing well. I guess my concern is with my lighting. Are they they to intense and keeping my babies to short. I’m running 1 mars hydro ts1000 (150 true watts)and one bloomspect 1200 optical series(128 watts veg 140 watts bloom 268 total true watts) they are both at 36” with bloomspect on veg only. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Will be adding bottled nutes around week 4(advanced nutrients ph perfect, general hydroponics Cali magic, nectar gods ph up and down) once some of the nutrients in the soil are used up. As for starting a thread, I’m very new to that also. Do I just add updates to this thread? I am very proud of my girls already and would love to share the experience.

They may be a little squat but that shouldn't be a problem unless you were hoping to be top-dressing with more soil,
And your lights are at a good height for the plants to start growing up towards them in the next couple weeks,
So far so good buddy

P.S. One of the mods could probably move this thread to the new growers journals if you wanted to keep the same one, or you can start another the same way you started this, just make sure you are typing in the box at the top of the sub-forum you'd like it to be posted to.

How these little plants become a bowl fill in bout 3 months always surprises me. All it takes is patience. Although I veg under T5,
I've been using a MH ts1000 as my main bloomer for a couple of finishes/months and find my plants show a definite positive response with the light at 12" from top canopy....but that's when plants are blooming...4-5 weeks old. Follow Tina's instructions til then.
I actually grow in a similar medium, bb light mix and only water for a month. Even in small pots, I get great yeilds with easy grows. The ts1000 will serve you well.

Thanks. Great info. I was worried about starting under so much light but it’s so cold here without both lights it was running to cold. Now between 75 and 77. And rh at 60% So far seems to be working. I agree with straight water for a month. I will be using half doses of Calimagic and ph up once I get r/o water. Would you put both lights at 12 inches or because of the extra power should I aim for 18”? I’m scared to follow guidelines when using 2 different lights. When I flower the bloomspect will be pulling 268 from the wall and mars hydro is pulling 150.
