Hi everyone! I'm running a RQS Fat Banana plant (see journal here: https://www.autoflower.org/threads/rqs-fat-banana-auto-by-myskellos.82387 )

-Problem: mainly two: top leaves seems to have a little of intervenial chlorosis (yellowing) and dark spots that look like Ca def are spreading on middle leaves
-Medium/grow method: 80% BioBizz light mix, 20% extra perlite
-Feed and supplements used: BioBizz nute line, I gave the plant only two fertigation (

Day 37: This was the first veg fertilization, with only Biobizz BioGrow. I used 2 lt of tap water at 100 ppm, added BG 1 ml/l -> 2 ml. The nute solution had 436 ppm; pH 6.3.

Day 41: Final solution: 390 ppm; 6.4 pH, made up by:

3 lt distilled water
CalMag 0.3 ml/l -> 1 ml (Water + Calmag = 31 ppm)
BG 1 ml/l -> 3 ml
BB 0.5 ml/l -> 1.5 ml
TopMax 1 ml/l -> 3 ml

-Water source: Tap water have an EC of 350 ppm; so I usually bring it down to 100 ppm; sometimes I just use the distilled water without tap water
-Strain and age: Royal Queen Seeds, Fat Banana Auto (day 46)
-Climate: Between 25 and 18°C, RH pretty low (from 25 to 40 RH%)
- Light used: MarsHydro TS1000, at 50 cm from canopy (something more probably)
-Additional info: I first noticed the red in the petioles/stems, but I didn't see any associated def such as Phosporus or Magnesium. Then, after the first fertigation on day 37, a few days later I started noticing the dark spots. I don't know if they're related. Up to now however, the plant doesn't seems to be stunted. Also, I noticed some very little 'clawing' of the top leaves around the flowering.

To help to debug the dark dots problem I did a runoff test this morning, which gave me a pH of 6.8 and a TDS of 350-400 ppm.
I also did a slurry test (1:1 soil and distilled water, stirred up and let sit for a few hours, then sifted and measured): 130 ppm and 7.15 pH.

Start feeding full dose of bloom nutes and higer dose of cal/mag

Do you think it's safe to add some calmag and distilled water? I don't want to lockout some other elements due to abundance of CA, already did in the previous round... And I was not able to fix the situation.

Thanks!

Is the EC .35 or the PPM 350?
Because if your tapwater EC is 0.35 then it is probably good to use like that.
Maybe check your water data report to see what's exactly in it but in general it should have enough calcium and magnesium.
If you dilute it to 0.1 then you need to add more of your calmag product since you cleaned out most of it.

I wouldn't do anything drastic, just increase calmag in your watersource, or dilute less.

Good luck : )

PPM 350, unfortunately the tap water is not very good.
I will give a bump of calmag and see what happens.

Thanks!

I have the same problem with my tapwater,
I bought an RO system for aquariums, it's between 50 and 100 euro
Does the same thing as the big units but can only clean 8L per hour.
