DinaFem Critical+ Auto CBD. About 3 weeks left to go.

Critcal.jpg

I did have 2 plants but one would not stop growing. With light @ full height it finally finished up around 3 to 4 inches from the light. I toyed with tying it down, chopping it, and decided it had to go, not worth the hassle. So this is it. A lonesome Critical+ Auto CBD that should be ready in around 3 weeks.

Its only my second grow so I don't have much knowledge, and I've never grown this strain before either. I planted 2 seeds that both seemed to be very different in the way they grew. The one in the picture seemed to be okay, its a decent sized plant, at the limit of my 4x4 grow tent @ 24 inches from light, with light at maximum height in the tent. But the other one grew really tall and stringy. They both went into pre-flower at the same time, but one plant kept going vertical, with massive space between each node, it just seemed a bit spaz from the get go, so I pulled it. Bummer seeds aint cheap ...
This plant has been easy. Feeding @ 800ppm with a pH @ 6.3 feeding 4 liters a day. Cyco A & B nutes with some guano from time to time. Coco/perlite mix 60/40 ratio. Light is a 4x 50W COBS = 200W for veg, and 200W of 5W diodes extra in bloom mode. 400W all up. Hand feeding when lights come on, all 4 liters at once and that's the last the plant sees of me until the next day.

I don't have much experience but compared to my last grow (DinaFem Amnesia CBD & White Widow CBD) this Critical+ doesn't have a strong aroma compared to the others. But, touch the plants buds and smell your finger OMG its strong and delicious. It has a fruity orange aroma. It supposed to have a skunk smell, and I don't know how skunk is supposed to smell, but when you open the tent there is this faint smell that is a bit like foot odor? or something. But the fruity orange smell is awesome. I haven't tried any yet, I was planning on a more thorough critique once it was finished, cured and tried. All in all really easy plant to grow. I stuck with the basics that I learned from the last grow, keeping the ppms and pHs to what I was familiar with. It hasn't produced the amount of buds the last ones did, they were huge yields (well to a noob like me) this plants hasn't produced a lot. Having said that, DinaFem website recommends to grow this particular strain in a SOG (sea of green) set up, but I wouldn't know how to do that lol.

So far I'm really happy with this plant. Its not a lot, but it was really easy to grow, and didn't give me any headaches. Just that odd seed that wanting to grow to the ceiling? I got 3 seeds left, so I'll give it another bash sometime in the future. Maybe by then I'll have more experience and try those 3 seeds in a SOG set up like they suggest for better results? Can't wait to try it. That orange aroma is something else. I hope it tastes just as good :) :)

A little update. Almost ready. Surprisingly there is very little aroma from this plant. I hope everything is okay. If I touch it my fingers stink, the aroma is definitely there, but nothing coming from the tent?

Bloody Nora! Is this thing ever going to ripen? Now I've got strings holding it up because the branches can't take the weight of the buds (no complaints there) but its taking forever. Every two days I check the trichomes and they are crystal clear. Orange hairs everywhere, to the naked eye she's done, but closeup doesn't even look close. Waiting waiting waiting ...
