Hi guys,I post here since this Is more of a growing question than anything...I set up 2 plants in Coco and this Is my First Time with It.I Always pH to 5,7-8-9 max and use Canna nutrients as they state It with 50% strenght.
My plant is 17ish day old and the runoff Is going Always lower than inflow.Example:
Reservoir water pH 5,83 EC 0.7
Runoff:EC 0.5
And It keeps decreasing...should I up the nutrients?
This Is true to all of my plants having lower runoff than inflow.
Using canna Coco A&B

Also got this leaf with Orange Little spot in some portion of the Edge. This has not advanced a lot in 2 days.

They don't look bad but don't rely on your runoff to tell you a story. A water content sensor would give you the only real accurate picture.

In the meantime, if you're concerned run several gallons of 1.0 EC 6.0ph water through each container. Water each pot then let them drain really, repeat three to four times with each pot. Let all your nutrients fully mix, pH, then wait some more before you do this.

I basically dumped my reservoir(rip 15 ml Coco A+15 B) and did a new batch 10 liters with 13 A+B on 0.9-1 EC.Just let the drippers runoff on her and She gave me 0.5 EC,Better than 0.480 for sure but I Will run more water through tomorrow morning
That citric acid I use Is giving me diminished 0.150 EC when pH to 5,9

I think you just need to increase your EC. I have been using Canna Coco for several years first with photos, now with autos for the last year. I start my seedlings on .6 EC for the first 7-10 days, then I slowly ramp up to 1.3 EC through the stretch. After stretch is done and bud stacking starts I add p/k to increase to 1.5-6 EC.

All my water is RO mixed with Canna calmag to .4 EC before any other nutrients get added. I use the full line, almost all the ppm comes from a & b and the p/k. Rhizo, cannazym and boost all have a minimal impact on EC but used correctly can have a huge impact on plant growth. As the plant enters ripening I drop the pk and Rhizo and run just calmag, a & b, cannazym and boost at about 1.0 EC until the end. Using this schedule I get pretty consistent runoff within 100 ppm of my nutrients throughout the cycle.

The ppm of runoff might not be exact, but if you fertigate with every watering with coco, as you always should, then it will be a pretty reliable indicator of what your plants need. If it’s creeping up for several waterings reduce feeding amount, If it’s creeping down increase feeding amount.

good luck!

How did you measure the runoff? Most important is that you're getting good volume through each pot because if the fertigation is correct then there is an issue somewhere that may be N toxicity. That conclusion can't really be reached based off runoff.

The citric acid, the citric acid... You need phosphoric or sulfuric acid. More than likely is your pH isn't remaining stable at some point between making the solution and what's occurring at the root zone. Possibly dealing with precipitation that is causing a lockout or in the cusp of several

I ll buy canna ph- grow, should help me with not fucking up the plant.I also get a decent runoff when I run the drippers for 1 minute. After that I take measurement.

Probably my EC at 20 days was too low at 0.7,I dumped res and I am at 0.9 now.Waiting for resulta and buying a proper phdown in theese days

That sounds like a good plan! Moving the EC up slowly will keep the plants from getting mad about the increasing nutrient levels. I usually wait about 24 hours before I adjust my reservoir, it fluctuates a lot over the first 24-36 the ph always rises quite a bit. After that is gets a bit more stable and is easier to adjust more consistently.

Got a runoff 0.560 Ec today,so,from Yesterday It Is rising(0.480)...the water going in Is 0.915Ec and the plant Is progressing some Signs of Cal deficiency

Edit-I am going to grab nitric acid instead of citric.Maybe could solve the issue even tho I think She was Just underfed, the other plant shows no sing of that and has been giving same fertigation and pot size/age
