New Grower commercial DWC type systems

Firstly I have no vested interest in the octopot product; I doubt if its even available to me.
I am posting this to hopefully stimulate discussion from a DWC standpoint, also to help eduacate the likes of me as to the finer points of plant growth/needs within such a system (I have yet to try DWC), as well as maybe stimulate the more DIY-inclined among us (again-the likes of me). my immediate reaction is, how would an aquarium bubbler/aeration device improve this, if at all. looking forward to some opinions guys and gals-over to you.

nice clean set-up you got there.
are you sold on the DWC?; have you ever tried any other method and how did they compare.
I thought the octopot versus DWC essay on their website was quite convincing so I will definitely be experimenting with a DIY version of their system.
