I just bought a grass-o-matix Auto AK seed that is feminized. It has germinated and now sits in some potting soil inside a dixie cup. I have it under a 75W bulb and it will sit on my refridgerator under the light for a couple/few days until I get another layer or two of leaves before I will plant transplant it into a larger pot where it will grow until harvested.

My lights are dual 400W MH and MHS mounted in a hood with a glass bottom. See it is auto flowering I will run the lights 20 on and 4 off until harvest.

I also have 5 feminized sweet big devil seeds that are also feminized and supposed to be auto flowering. Of the 5 seeds one has germinated efficiently and has been transferred to a dixie cup. One more of 5 I started with is showing signs that the tap root is going to break out in another half day or so. That leaves me 3 that are not showing any signs yet, but I will let them alone and keep them wet for as long as it takes.

I chose these two strains because I can take clones and pretty much run a constant grow all year around if I choose to because they will all be running 20 on 4 off no matter what stage they are in.

I have a spare bathroom separate from the main house that I have the lights set up in and it is my grow room. It's not super large, but for growing 7 or 8 plants it serves it's purpose.

I'm willing to answer and comments or criticisms you may have. Howewfer, my main goal of this thread is to hear about the type of plants I stated above on what others grow experiences have been with them.

I'm looking for relatively high THC rates so I don't have to smoke so much or so often. I don't think my choices were probably the best, but I wanted auto flowering/feminized. With al that said, thanks for taking the time to ready my post and feel free to ad your 2 cents. Cheer!

Sounds pretty good, except the part about taking clones. While there are some people who have successfully cloned autos, I believe that they have cloned Super_Autos. I don't believe I have heard of anyone successfully cloning the strains you are growing..

Best of luck bro.

well clones have been successfully done from low ryder 2 and auto berry by me... but i'd reccomend for yield you keep droppin seeds if you're growing autos... autos dont go by light sensitivity... they go by days of life.... they have an internal clock that they use for signalling flowering.

:toke:

hope this helps... :smokebuds:

well, you can clone an auto. i have cloned regular autos...HOWEVER, the clone/cutting remained on the exact same schedule as the mother plant. it rooted, but went straight to flowering along with the plant. it was funny, there was no difference in their progress. as far as i can tell, cloning autos only detracts from quantity, because of the shock time on both the plants. the results are nothing close to cloning photosensitive strans, where you cut, and begin the life cycle from the start. as far as cloning an auto, you would have to clone at the absolute earliest possible moment, then you might actually get "2" or more plants. good luck, and good grow vibes.

The only benefit I could see from cloning would be allowing you to separate the clone from the mother if you are going to use CS or Gibberellic Acid to force stamen. That would allow you to get the clones out of the tent all together and not chance any cross pollination. I hadn't thought about it but that seems like a pretty good idea instead using some of the mother's energy to produce seeds.

Are you saying that I cannot takes clones if the plant is flowering? If so, that may throw a wrench in the plan. I'll have to do some more homework making clones I guess. I grow for my personal use only, so I don't need a lot of plants. I thought I could just keep three or four in different stages of maturity going under 20 on 4 off lighting inevitabley. This is a "part time" hobby obviously so I don't want to make a full time job out of it. I also want to avoid making numerous seed purchases from overseas. My first and last orders were basically a test and I got a total of 6 seeds for this grow. Thanks for the comments, you are giving more to think about and that was the purpose of putting this thread on here. Thanks again!

Interesting, I did not know the 2" cutting would begin to flower without veging any. Now that I hear that it totally make sense. Looks like I have to get more seeds when the time comes.
