So it's only June and the heat and humidity have gotten pretty bad in my neck of the woods. I've been trying to just use my portable ac in my lung room to cool everything. That works great but unfortunately the humidity is hard to get under 60 on the bad days with the ac on. I went out today and got a dehumidifier for the lung room and 30 pint unit and it works wonders for getting my humidity in check. But now the problem is when I run the dehumidifier and not the ac the tent temperature jumps to over 85. Should I be running both the ac and the dehumidifier at the same time? I've been just running the ac to get it cold and then the dehumidifier and so forth. Pain in the ass and not practical for at night. Any suggestions or feedback on what you do to keep the temps and humidity in check would be stellar. Thanks :smoking:

Temperature and RH can be a bitch to balance. If you are running LED lights 85°F is warm but I have had them go to 94°F without damage. The leaf temperature is lower with LEDs than HID lamps. I don't understand doesn't your AC pull water from the air? Unless you are in late flower 70% RH is not a problem.

My system is set up to exchange area air by injecting filtered outside air so plants are subjected to natural changes...sometimes that's good but comes with a problem at times. We too are having the wicked heat/humidity here in the mid south. It's forced me to change lighting on at 2 am and off by 2pm....controlled by inkbirds and ac infinity equipment....even then, by mid morning I must run a dehumidfier to keep parameters within a reasonable range. Anything to keep heat down.....
Of course I don't recommend this schedule unless you have trustworthy controls and proper monitoring.

That definitely puts me a little bit at ease. Botrytis is a major fear of mine and I don't wanna see my work ruined by me being carless with my environment. The hottest my tent has got was about 90 before I scrambled to get the ac figured out. My heisen ac has a dry setting that doesn't seem to do much as far dehumidify and when the ac is on cool mode it brings my temps way down but for some reason my moisture levels climb up over 65 sometimes to 70. I ran both the ac and the dehumidifier yesterday in the lung both on low setting. The dehumidifier running at 50% and within an hour my temps were stable at 78 with 49-51% RH inside my tent. I think on the worse days of the summer this will be how I run my lung to keep things in check.

I have your June, from January to December lol. Honestly i just wing it and do my best. Sucks for sure but AC is just too expensive for me. Nice setup you have.

Brutal dude! And yeah I'm not looking forward to the first energy bill after running these all the time haha
