I've been doing a lot of research on flipping female plants with colloidal silver - I wanted to ask for some advice from the experts here.. if you CS a single branch during pre-flower, will it produce pollen sacks in time to pollinate the rest of the same plant to produce fem seeds? Also, leads to my other question - if you isolate one branch and make sure the CS only sprays one branch, will it taint the rest of the plant as far as consumption goes?

Thanks!

Yes I have flipped a female on two branches and pollinated the remaining branches and produced viable seed. Just make sure you grow the plant until she just dies off of old age to get the best seeds. I don't know about the mobility of the CS in the plant but I would not consume it myself.

As I've read it,the rest of the plant can be consumed no problem.I'm going to start a little seed making project too with collodial silver in my undergoing grow, and will see for myself.

I have done single plant reversals a few times now and my experience is similar to what ManO has said. By the time my pollen starts to really drop my plant is only a week or 2 from being finished. So the plants really go into over time by the time the seeds are ready and sure wont look like that awesome weed you would have had harvesting when you were supposed to. After I pollinate everything I want, we cut off the reversed branch and throw it away. We choose to smoke anything that has not been in contact with CS but I don't think there is any definitive proof either way right now if it's safe and that's a call you will have to make yourself.

Thanks for the responses. Sounds like really better off allowing the plants to go to the end of the their lifecycle like ManOGreen says to get the best seeds. I imagine some of the CS molecules may travel throughout the entirety of the plant so may be to play it safe and avoid smoking any of the plant.

I treat one branch with sts and consume the rest. You should be able to get pollen to drop early enough for self seeds to form.

For using the plant, I have heard yay and nay. I can see it not affecting the plant systemically, as the entire plant would reverse if it did. So it should not be in the other flowers of the plant. Myself, I would still rather not smoke it, (smoking a metal after all if it does travel) but CS is sold for oral use so I would be OK using the plant for edibles.

Too bad there is no firm answer, would make it easier to make the right choice, I guess it is up to the individual.
