really thinking hard about switching to coco. the finishing time is what im looking at and how clean it is. gonna pick up sum on next run after i clean the roots out of the soil and get rid of the old rootballs. been watching alot of grows that are using coco and love the yeilds and the mass of the rootball that they get using coco. but i know since i posted this ill get alot of negative feedback about coco but oh well if you never used it i really dont want your opinon but would love to hear from the growers that have used coco through a entire grow or more. :bong:

If i could fine some locally I would try it for sure.

ive been watching a grower on youtube that is using it well alot of others too but this one ive been really watching his name is sublbc and he has like 700 videos lol but so much info wow.

I am using it at moment mixed with perlite. It is my very first canna grow though so I cant really say how compares to soil. Generally though is good as as mentioned is "clean" and meant to be easily re-usable. Seems to dry out quicker than soil in general. As I say, is my first canna grow and first of anything inside and having used it before for various seedlings I thought it would be a good start to use. Next Ill be trying soil and who knows, over time might end with a coco, soil, perlite mix. My current seedlings are in starter pots with 75 % organic soil with the top 1/4 being coco to start the seeds off after germ in paper towell - so far so good.

@dirtybongwater, why would you get negative feedback about coco? Is there a grudge against coco I don't know about?

I've been seriously messing with coco for a few months. Each time I grow in it, they get better and better, as I find out on my own what I'm doing wrong. I couldn't even get a seedling to grow in coco, when I first started. I'm finding there is ALOT of misinformation about how to grow in coco. Or I must have a different type of coco than 90% of the 'growers' posting. But, yeah, its pretty hard for me to grow in and I'm surprised I haven't thrown it away and went back to soil. I guess I'm looking for the benefits when I get it right.

I'm using coco with just a dash of perlite.

Yeah, just coco and perlite. I might use about 15% perlite. It's GH CocoTek "Coir". Got a good size block of it that I cut/break chunks off.

nice bro...i use GH organic nutes, will look into their coco...thanx.
