Im going to be growing in a pc box so my pots will be quite small due to height restrictions. How often will I have to water coco if I mix it with 25% perlite?

I also plan to use only pH Perfect Sensi Bloom. Does this work well with coco?

Also, how do you guys feel auto's do in coco?

Any links to good quality coco and perlite?

Thanks in advanced guys!:peace:

Water only when needed.Lift pot after you water and note the weight of the pot,it should feel heavy. When the pot feels light again water it until you see water running out of the bottom of the pot.Sensi bloom should only be used in the flowering stage.Use a higher nitrogen fert in the vegetive stage.Autos do well in coco as long as you keep your ph under control witch is 6.3 or 6.4.There is a thread about nutes and soil in the starting pages of the forum that you can read.

If you haven't bought the nutes yet, I believe there are a few specifically appropriate for coco, that deals with it's peculiarities.

6.3-6.4 is too high for coco on the ph.With coco you stay inline with hydroponics ph range....ideally with coco you want to stay between 5.5 and 6.0 with 5.8 being a nice target.

I wasn't aware that the ph was different with coco,so I stand corrected.Maybe you can explain why there is the different ph,thanks.:peace:

I am no pro with the stuff but it is my understanding that since coco has no nutritional value at all that it is basically the same as growing hydroponics.I am currently growing in Canna coco coir and ph'ing my water to 5.8 and having great results.Maybe someone with more experience can explain it better but im pretty sure I have the basics of it anyway.

With coco you don't want to wait until it's dry before you water. It'll be too dry at that point. Coco is an interesting beast in that it won't retain more water than your plant can use. I water just about every day in coco. It's always still moist on top, but coco has a great advantage with it's aeration of the medium. It'll always hold oxygen there so overwatering is a tough thing. Not to say it can't be done, but it's a hell of lot harder than promix/soil.

I'm doing a auto berry grow using coco & canna nutes day 56 from seed. Amazing results. I water every 4days and water untill I see run-off... There are lots of coco nutes. And yes ph should kept at 5.8 ideally.

:smokebuds:Ok, so I learned a lot about coco that I didn't know.I might have to look into it for my next project.

Anyone have any experience with coco and pH perfect nutes? Do you guys think coco is a bad idea for a PC grow? I also plan to LST my plants, that's fine in coco amarite?
