@olaru12Welcome to AFN Yes COBs will grow cannabis Photo or Autos. I like autocobs for secondary or additional lamps. If these are your first lights I would go with fixtures with more red and blue available. Really it is all about your budget. @Marshydro and @Les @HLG have several entry level lights and they are a members here as well as @BigSm0 and his Autocobs.
COBs are good lights and make great secondary lighting or for an individual plant. Cost wise no, there isn't really much savings after buying the COB, a heatsink, a power supply, a power cord and a means to hang it. And they have they are not as efficient as Qauntum boards.
You can get a 135 watt QB288 kit for $168.00 from HLG that will out produce a pair of cobs.
