Hi folks. I'm going to be using some CO2 to enhance the growth of my plants. I'm growing in a Secret Jardin Dark room DR60 II, which is 2ft x 2ft x 5.3ft. Using the method to work out the cubic feet of the room, it turns out to be 21.2 cubic feet.
I read the formula in The Cannabis Grow Bible (by Greg Green) and it suggests:
21.2 x 0.0012 to work out the amount of CO2 I will need to bring the PPM up to 1500 in my growing tent. My calculation gave me a result of 0.02544 cubic feet of CO2 to increase the levels.
Now then, I can easily obtain some CO2 bottles and regulators, but what is the best method of maintaining the correct environment for growth? Here are my questions:
#1 - I assume a regulator and a hose will tell me how much CO2 I'm releasing into my grow tent? If not, how do I measure how much to release?
#2 - How often do I use my extraction fan? I want to keep the air circulated, but I don't want to just put CO2 in and then vent it straight back out. Do I have to leave the fan on at all times, or can I change the air at intervals?
#3 - Finally, what size CO2 canister would be ideal for a full autoflower grow on one plant? If I'm using 0.02544 cubic feet, I assume a smaller tank of about 5-10lbs should be fine?
Thanks for reading folks :]
