Hi guys. Twice I’ve asked about diy led but not had a response. .
I have some shitty Chinese lights. 5 intact thT are gathering dust.
I’ve decided to upgrade them.
Would it be best to use the 80 cri or the 90?
I ask because 80 only hits 600 on spectrum. Whereas 90 hits 630. Better for flower. But ... less Luman. Will Pot driver info below. Thanks in advance.

I run 80’s 3500k only through the whole cycle and the only complaint I’d have is with maybe a little slower veg’ development

i’ve read 90’s are better but I couldn’t tell you how much better...I think @Dr Bubbles went from 80 to 90 cri and saw a boost in performance but also a good chance I misread

I can't comment on 80cri as my Citizen 1212 are 90cri.. they work great, I run 3000k, 4000k and 3500k... out of the 3 the I feel the 3500k perform better than the others, the lants under the 3500k array always kicks ass

Thank you my good man!! That is it. That’s what il do. 3500k is better spectrum. And the 90 is lower in Luman but reaches 630nm on the spectrum. Thanks bud. That’s made my mind up

Thanks guys. I appreciate that. One of my drivers is 110-240. Perfect for USA and Europe. So that fine.
But then it’s 1.08a. And 120v. So how many citizens can I run at 36v? Hope I make sense. As I thought I had it sussed. Until I saw 1.08a lol

That sounds right 3x36V= 108V. Tho I am not great with electrics myself.

What lamp you upgrading? Ive a roleadro 400w I plan on upgrading with Gen 6 Citizen 1212's. This thread has me leaning towards 3500k

Citis are ok i have both 3500k and 3000k 80 and 90 cri unless u have eveything at a constant in ur maybe u could tell a real diff otherwise u cant really say, like i said i have both and all perform well thats just my 2cents tho and u may want to replace heatsinks but depends on how many if the drivers u will run spacing of the cobs also be careful on placing them to close or u will have hot spit on/in ur canopy
