Hi, AFN,

I woke up this morning to a couple of claw leaves. This is my first grow, so I'm freaking out about any little issue. I'd appreciate any advice.

Tomorrow will be 7 weeks since I put the seed in the soil.

The particulars:

1 plant of Northern Lights from Nirvana.
6 CFL's--4 2700K and 2 6500K.
Fan
Intake and exhaust fans
Soil (Happy Frog)
Dyna-Grow bloom (1/2 teaspoon every 4 days or so)
pH'd water
3 gallon pot

My grow space is a wooden filing cabinet I repurposed.

I've attached pics that I just took. They needed water today, but I didn't add any nutes because I'd read that claw leaves are sometimes caused by N toxicity. image.jpg

What's the next course of action?

hi and welcome.
next course of action is to chill light something up,in the meantime im sure someone way way smarter than me will let you know whats whats.:pighug:

I do not see any clawing in your pictures. Did you water recently? That can make the leaves droop. Please advise your soil ph and current nutes applied? All in all they look fine to me.

Hey there buddy and welcome! :bighug:
looks like you most likely are running a bit heavy on the nitrogen and it may be delaying/slowing flowering a bit. You could give it a nice flush with only phed water and see if that helps in the next few days, perhaps you have an extra sensitive lady on your hands.

Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated!

I really think I should have some buds at the point. Looks like all I have is pistils. I'm really starting to worry.

Yes you should for sure have buds forming, I really think a flush would do it a solid.

It should be fine though, might take a bit longer to finish overall but if you can get it to start flowering full on, then it will bulk up quick, hopefully without stressing too bad...

Edit: there are no crispy leaves or other signs of overfeeding so I'd say it's just nitrogen and certainly not catastrophic.

It just occurred to me, nirvana has had problems with not autoing in the past although I haven't heard that in a while, it could be a semi auto.... I wonder..... :gassy1:

Thanks for the encouragement, Surffreak.

The plant needed watering this morning, but I only gave it pH'd water--nothing else.

I did just see 2 crispy yellow leaves but they're at the very bottom and I'm not certain that they were getting any light since the fan leaves are so thick above them. Fingers crossed.

What's the course if action if they're semi-auto--go to 12/12 and see what happens? I'm running 20/4 now.
