Indoor Changing from HPS to LED

Hi guys.

I have a Dr120 grow tent , and use a 600w dual spectrum HPS with a parabolic reflector.
I'm seriously Considering changing my Lighting to LED , as i can get the equilant of a 1000w+ hps , without the heat etc.....

What would you guys recommend for a 120 tent? I have no clue about LED lights , and whats best etc.. first time i heared of them was when i joined this forum about 1 month ago.

Will Led give me total coverage of a 120 tent?

Any help/info would be amazing.

Have you tried a air cooled reflector? Since you already have the 600w I would try and make it work. LEDs are expensive, if you have your heart set on them thou. 4 240w Black star panels should rock your tent.

heat really isnt a issue in the tent , temps sit at around 26-28 with the light on.
I more interested in the stealthy aspect of the LED's. Cause when i open my tent now , its like an artificial sun in there that lights up the room like crazy.

just trying to gather up as much info as poss on the LED's they defo look like the way forward for me.

How do they compare to the HPS watt for watt?

Also do they do dual LED's or do you half to swap them out at differnt stages?

contrary to what anyone will tell you, you still need to vent a tent with led since the led ballast is still in the light.if you think it looks weird when you open your tent now just wait till your windows shine bright pink and its not like a little its BRIGHT PINK. if you want bang for your buck buy blackstars bloom panels not the veg ones. veg panels are a waste of money. i use 4 240w in my hydro expo so come check it out in my signature if you would like to see what that looks like in a 4x4 tent just like yours.
