hi all,

i was just sitting, enjoying my smoke and thinking about my favorit plant:)

i read a lot about our beloved and since i had a break for 13 years and started study again only 10 months ago there is a whole new world of growing with autos and femmed seeds wich werent (or hardly available or known) around back then i have a lot to learn :D

tonight a question crossed my mind that i have for a while now and cant realy find a thread on it somewhere so i thought id start one asking it here

the question i have is: if i pollinate a femmed plant wouldnt the rate of possibillity of the offspring beeing female too be higher then with two reg plants??

i think it should be like 75% chance of female and 25% male

i think that cause imo a femmed plant should only have femme gens cause both father and mother had female chromosomes

so therefore when using a male to pollinate the femmed plant, only the male could pass its genes on so wich would be about half

i am not sure of this cause might be just a normal female as if it were crossed with a male and chromosomes would work just like normal so 50/50 chance

if someone has any experience with this or knows enough about chromosomes and gens to tell me the answer to this id be very happy :)

greets
SIN

hmm think i allready know the answer ..the offspring would be 50/50 because its the male that has the x and y chromosome so when crossing a reg male the femmed would just be like any other female :)

checked a scientific site about chromosomes and gens and fromthat its clear to me that it makes no differrence so prob a dummy question

think thread can be ended and note to myself... DONT SMOKE SO MUCH :jointman:

greets sin :)
