Grow Room CFL usage

To all those using CFLs...Im on my second grow and im using CFLs. All are 26w...4 6500Ks for veg then switching to 12 2700Ks for flower. Im just curious to see how everyone else is using CFLs. What color temps for veg and flower? How many watts? All that good stuff. Im just trying to gain knowledge to see if im doing things the most optimal way with what i have. I do plan on upgrading to a HPS in about a year and a half. My soon to be wife and i are doing a thru-hike of the appalachian trail next summer so im just keeping things how they are for now. After the trail I will be redoing my whole setup and try for maximum potential.

You have the color spectrum's right. You've got about 6k lumens for veg and 20K lumens for bloom. So, it depends on how many plants you're trying to grow and how big the footprint is in your grow space. I currently have 12 seedlings under 6 - 27w, 6500k cfl's and they're doing great. But, I would not feel confident having that many plants flowering under 12 - 27w cfl's. It might be enough, Idk.

If you look around a little bit, you'll see several members growing under cfl's and doing it very successfully.

That might be the fastest way to get the answers you're looking for.

Hey m8 joe dirt hit the nail on the head. 6500k for veg and 2700k for bloom. I also used 5000k on mine start to finsh. I did 3 AK47xRR under 295watts and got 121g's off them. Take a look at my thread in the indoor forum and look at some of my pics in my profile. That also was my 2sd grow. Ask me anything I'll try to help u out the best I can. If not I can at least point u to someone who can....... good luck and karma on ur grow m8!!!!!
