Jay,

These are results from my Bloody Skunk:

Indica Dom - 15% THC
Sativa w/ Coco Only 10% THC
Sativa w/ 50/50 Coco/Happy Frog 16% THC

NONE of these showed any CBD %. I don't understand that one at all. It doesn't make sense to me since Ruderalis are supposed to be higher in CBD and are in the parentage of the Autos. Any input?

Can you provide any insight to this lack of CBD? All nutes. lights and feeding were the same.

maybe the the value was less than 0.5% and they rounded it down. dont think 0.5% is that low a reading on many plants, just guessing?

Nope. I will post the full results on the grow thread but they do not round off. They go to .XXX in the results.

Any cbn?

How were the trichs ? Cloudy and amber I'd guess?

I have heard that high cbd in ruderalis is just rumor. Has it been documented somewhere that ruderalis is high in cbd?

I asked the lab about the results and got this:

Hi John,

We ran your samples on the GC-MS to verify your potency results. We found that the results on the GC-MS are consistent with the original results on HPLC. The CBDs are absent on both the GC-MS and the HPLC. There could possibly be trace amounts of CBD but they are way below our reporting limit. Let me know if you have any other questions.

The original auto strains the one everyone hated back in 2008 have higher CBD levels that's the reason commerical photo growers said there was no potency. Higher cbd less high, well to boost the demand for autos breeders had to weed out a lot of traits people didn't want which the only trait a lot of growers wanted was the "auto" gene but photo traits. So to do this breeders are producing more photo leaning plants only acception is they auto. It is true autos hold high cbds it is genetic but that's more landrace or early year autos. The ones today only contains 10-30% Rudi which the top traits being taken from autos are autoflowering and shorter plants all the other original auto traits are being weeded out any that's why autos are becoming so popular with growers because now autos are now more photo leaning. Honestly its a good thing to know there where small traces of cbd that means sweets weeded out all the undesirable traits and still kept the auto gene. Breeding is really tricky especially when it comes to autos because they are still changing year by year I would not be suprised to see a lot of the "top shelf" autos low in cbd
