Grow Mediums Cat tries the 1st Northern Lights grow in coco

Not only is my PC camera crap, but I'm struggling to keep my hands steady enough.

The oldest plant is now 11wks old. I did originally estimate 100 days and it looks like she won't be far off that. I've been reading a great thread under the coco section by a staff member, Truu. Here's the link to that thread https://www.autoflower.org/threads/what-truu-knows-about-coco.20249/

I've cut back on the nutes from 1.9ec to 1.6 and will continue to reduce over the next 2-3 weeks until the final 5-7day flush. Here's a couple of (bad) pics

Every one of those buds are packed with lovely juicy trichs and it's awesome to watch the progress through a jewellers loupe. The trichs on the main stem are mostly cloudy with the odd one already turning amber. I had visions of throwing the trim away, but seeing how frosty they are, I need to figure out what to do with them. Can I keep them in the freezer until I have enough to make hash, or something?

The sister plant is now 9wks old and her buds are packing on some weight. She has a little nute burn, so I reduced the EC from 1.9 to 1.7.

Per gallon of water, I feed 5ml calmag & 5-6ml Flora bloom. I've raised the Ph from 5.8 to 6.0. Here's some pics

It has been very warm and humid in the UK and the tent temp hasn't gone below 30F for a few days. Humidity hovers around 50-55%, but has climbed as high as 60%. I have a few fans in there and have been leaving the tent and cupboard doors open (the tent's inside a cupboard). Once the grow is finished, I plan to use the cupboard space as a grow room. It must have a 12 feet height but I'm unsure if light can be lost above the lights. Maybe I need to build a false ceiling. Anyway, just thinking out loud. Thanks for taking a peek

Thanks mate. I'll be giving both the bag and box a try... if I get enough bud to harvest, that is! Have you ever dried bud fast in an "emergency"?

I have dried some hanging in brown bag above lights and next to exhaust intake filter.Took 2 days. Thats just because i didnt want to waste money as the rest of plant was drying elsewhere and I was almost out of smoke. I didnt want to ruin anything by microwaveing or oven mehod.

It worked out well but wasnt nearly as good as the rest of the plant that dried and cured a bit. I was stay pretty stoned though. Lol

I have dried some hanging in brown bag above lights and next to exhaust intake filter.Took 2 days. Thats just because i didnt want to waste money as the rest of plant was drying elsewhere and I was almost out of smoke. I didnt want to ruin anything by microwaveing or oven mehod.

It worked out well but wasnt nearly as good as the rest of the plant that dried and cured a bit. I was stay pretty stoned though. Lol

Hey @Fuggzy good to hear from you. The girls are doing well. A bit disappointed in the smaller plant, but hey, it's taught me loads, so not all in vain.

I like more of a peppy medicine, so i dont let the trichs get to high of a percentage of amber to avoid couchlock affect.

As long as you harvest the little lady first as the big one finishes, you should do well. Being in the grow area with the heat from the light is what helps it to dry quicker. As the heat enables the moisture to be released. The bud smoke doesnt tast as bad as other quick methods.

From what I understand freezing the leaves for hash is great. The triches come off easier when frozen. Anyway, great job. Lookibg awesome.

I'm watching those trichs closely coz I don't want couchlock either. Yer, I'm harvesting/quick drying the small one first and doing the curing for the bigger plant. Thanks for your input bud, appreciated

Dude just quick dry what you need for 5-6 days and let dry slowly the rest trust me, the rest gonna be much better.
Im always doing the same when my jars are empty, just quick drying what i actually want to smoke.
Im useing the oven. 50 degrees opened door with convection.
